I quite like it behind the posts, I try and stand there when I take the kids. The view is good and there's never normally too many fans there so the kids can run around a bit more.

| It's often my preferred spot too tbh. 90% of my time at Odsal has been spent stood at the back of the Rooley Ave end next to the floodlight nearest the stand. There aren't many grounds where you get a reasonable view of the far goal line from behind the opposite posts.

There are plenty of grounds where you can't see the [inear[/i goalline from behind the sticks (Belle Vue and Headingley spring instantly to mind), never mind the [ifar[/i one.
Got to say I prefer watching from the side though, even if I do tend to go for the better atmosphere amongst the majority of our fans, behind the sticks, when we go away.

And after our recent trip to KR, you can Craven Park to that, but only because of the curvature of the Earth.

I watched the WCC from the corner between the South Stand & Western Terrace in the rain. I reckon I saw about 5% of the action.

It's the bane of the old fashioned terracing; stand at the front and, at best, you're somewhere near kneecap height with the players, stand further back and due to the small steps up the terrace (maybe 5 or 6 centimetres) and you can't see for people standing in front.
This wouldn't normally apply to my mate's brother, Alan, though; he plays (or did when younger) in the second row for one of the local Union teams and is of such a size that I think could look down on Karl Pryce and see if he has a bald patch. When he goes to matches he always stands right at the back so as to avoid complaints, so even he can't win!

You could always check up in the loft to see if you kept any of those platform shoes from the 1970s...?

| Wasn't the story about such a lofty bloke going to Anfield, and there was a tap on the shoulder and a scouse voice saying
"Oy mate - next time you come, can yer bring yer own 'ole"

Without wishing to stereotype, the reply would be
"I did but someone stole it, la".

You're up in the high 6,000s now judging by your crowd against Salford.
We're on about getting t-shirts made if we beat you to raise some money anyway, it worked well for you.'"
Awww so your talking about the figures reported. Which as we all know at odsal bears no resemblance whatsoever to the actual amount of people attending the game. I wish the number of people you were expecting were the only ones who turned up-and hence the only ones who put money in your begging bowl On Sunday-(tell me -how have you managed to get yourselves in such a financial mess with the millions of bulls supporters reported) would you swap your extra 2000 supporters for our position in the table I wonder.
Anyway I'll be there on Sunday since my son is involved in the curtain raiser-here's hoping the rain puts a lot of people off-we wouldn't want you to be disappointed.
