My daughter's a teacher, so I can claim first hand knowledge that they are the last people to blame

| Indeed, in fact just this week in science: basic petrol alchemy. But not sure I explained it that well. Was it in the kitchen or outside of the kitchen? I always get them mixed up...

They were all too busy stepping round those big grey things blocking their view in the room. Now, most of them claim they saw the elephant's legs all along.

Clearly he wasn't strong on geography then, (allegedly)

| I should run a book on which MP first addresses him as "the honourable member for Blackburn"

He'd have to find his way to parliament for that though, something which proved quite difficult for him the last time he was an MP.
Still, who wants an MP going to the commons on behalf of his constituents when there are other, more useful, options like hob-nobbing with Arab oppressors and dictators or prancing around on reality tv shows?

That honour should be reserved for the cabinet or members of our royal family.

| It will be interesting to see how Respect do in the local elections in Bradford next month. Whether they'll capitalise on Galloway's honeymoon period. Normally it would be expected that Labour would strngthen its grip on the Council at this stage in the election cycle. But if Respect repeat its by election performance that might not happen. Labour's worst nightmare would be if it had to form a coalition with Respect to maintain control.

It certainly will. Unless Galloway cocks up big time in the interim I would expect Respect to do well. Liberals will be decimated, though I don't know how many of their councillors are up. Sunderland, Lib leader, lost her deposit in Bfd West. I can't see many Tories voting for Respect, unless they were those who might have voted on family lines rather than political views previously. Which leaves dischuffed Labour voters, who are many, or those who have not voted previously.
