I'd rather go to West Hull than Keighley tbh

| yes, at Hull we are more likely to get an insight into how the 1st team are jelling rather than the U20's/Academy, tho personally for me Settle to Keighley is a lot better than to Hull

| Isn't there some question as to whether the Hull game is on the Friday or Sunday?
Maybe if it does end up on the Sunday (something to do with football commitments wasn't it?) then perhaps they'll shove in a game with Keighley on the Friday?
Could that explain uncertainty?

I think it depends on whether Hull City have a game and possible TV requirements etc. Much as I'd like a game at Keighley, to be fair we seem to have enough already arranged.

| Hull City have drawn Crawley Town at home in the cup, so that might be schedualed on the 29th. Although the 27th/28th looks more likely.

seeing as club have confirmed hull friendly as being on 29th today then the hull football must have taken one of the other dates.

| Cougars site says "both sides will be fielding strong teams" which you can understand for the sake of ticket sales. However, if Lulia, Kear, Scruton, Lestrange, diskin, and MnM are still out (I am assuming Whitehead can play having not played against Cas), and we fulfil a moral obligation to put the very strongest side into the testimonial game, even with Phil Joseph still on trial there will need about 6 more players not on Silsden Bulls squad list to make up two 17s. Or will Potter use the two games to get our props used to playing more time by giving them two games?

I thought we'd been told that Lulia, Scuton, L'Estrange and Diskin would be fit for the start of the season - and if they are going to be fit for the season opener they need some game time the previous week in a friendly.
Also Kear was saying that he expects to be fit for the Hull game.
Perhaps the players coming back from injury could play in the Keighley game on the basis that it should in theory be a bit less tough than the Hull game. If they play Kear, Scruton, Diskin and Lulia + Phil Joseph + Karl Pryce against Keighley then thats the six players needed. Put Academy players on the bench and you've got a reasonable squad. so, here goes
HULL
Kearney
Ainscough
Purtell
Walker
Crookes
Briggs
Gale
Hargreaves
L'Estrange
Kopczak
Whitehead
Sibbit
Langley
O'Brien
Burgess
Addy
Olbison
KEIGHLEY
Sykes
Kear
Platt
Lulia
Pryce
Jeffries
Sammutt
Joseph
Diskin
Scruton
Donaldson
Murphy
Bateman
Academy lads on bench
Something like that (probably missed someone out!)

| I suspect the same players will play both Friday and Sunday
I think the bench can have as many players as the clubs want. I'd only expect players to play 30-35 (Max) minutes so they should be able to do Friday and Sunday.
We need to start getting some cohesion going, imo
