Really, quite an extremist repsonse. It's easier to get to for those not wedded to their car or object to walking more than 100m. There are one or two decent pubs around & a host of curry houses. The ground itself is very good if lacking in character (see Wire, Hudds etc).

| Although it would pain me to see us move away from odsal for a while, i have to agree with Tigertot, the ground isnt all that bad and has the facilities the club need to keep a license,
I live 5 mins away from odsal and love the fact at how close it is - BUT i have no issue with following my team wherever thay may go .......................
ASSUMING being the key word it was to ever happen !!!

Not sure what point you are making. All the words in the YEP article are in the original Bulls' website article. It looks to me as though the YEP journalist has cut and pasted from that statement, shifting a couple of sentences around and leaving a couple out. If you're suggesting that Hood has changed his tune, I can't see support for that view from here.

Yep.
I don't have an issue with sharing a stadium if that's what's required. Valley Parade wouldn't be my first choice but if it was needed I'd back a move there.
But the idea of the two clubs becoming one organisation is a shocker.

Pollsters doing Excellent job - say recent polls.: |
|
| Whilst there are examples of one organisation covering separate league & union rugby clubs - with varying degrees of success - I think the only recent example of football & rugby getting together was Sir john Hall's experiment with all the pro teams in Newcastle which withered as the football club effectively subsidised the rugby, basketball, netball etc.

| Think Wigan counts as a recent example too. Think it's fair to say Wigan rl fans aren't too happy with arrangements. Having their fixtures swapped around to accommodate football side and even having to give up home advantage in a playoff game spring to mind as recent problems with arrangement.

I'm speaking from bitter experience as a Huddersfield Town fan. The bitterness, half truths, ignorance and small mindedness works both ways there. Just look at the comments about Town from most of the people on the Giants board or the ones about the Giants on the DATM Town board.
This is the opposite of what is needed in Bradford right now. I'd like to see things like the option of a joint season ticket so that people (who wanted to) could gain a bigger discount over buying two different season tickets or ticket offers at each offered to the other club's season ticket holders (say a couple of vouchers for ten pound Bulls tickets in the City season ticket). Not under the ownership.
Obviously I couldn't give 2 s about Bradford City if I'm honest but whats good for one is good for the other and IMO the two boards should work closer together. But the two clubs must keep their own identities.

Brilliant. I'm a Peterborough fan. Did you prefer Old Trafford in 2011 or Leeds Road in 1992?

Town were second best throughout the whole game not just the 8 minutes when the goals went in to no complaints from me.
Your chairman though is nothing more than timeshare selling wideboy and - because of his comments outside Peterborough town hall on the monday afterwards - I can't wait to pass you in the other direction next year. Also your most famous fan is Adrian Durham from Talksport.

| I have little doubt that Steve Parkin would be a better owner than the clowns running Bradford City at the moment, but he just seems like he is desperate to get a piece of any sports club he can to raise his profile/satisfy his ego.
I've heard rumours of him being linked with City for ages, the Bulls thing was a surprise to me this morning and I can't see it coming off.

| IF Steve Parkin wants to put his money where his mouth is and actually open up a dialogue with the club and that what he proposes will ultimately benefit the Bulls then I for one welcome him with open arms. However, I still remain sceptical that it will happen or that what happens will benefit us

| If the rumours are true from people I respect, he has thought about buying Wakey at least once, maybe twice, but stalled because there was no guarantee of a franchise (he purportedly met with the RFL to seek this guarantee). The feeling I always had was that he was more interested in the proposed new Wakey ground as much as the club, and had some vision of a "Sporting Wakefield" organisation, incorporating Guisely, or a Wakefield football team, as well as us. Whilst I would undoubtedly welcome his cash to Wakey, there was always a feeling for me that he was seeking to pursue his football ambitions more than his rugby ones.
If you get him and he takes you back to the top, good luck, hope it works out. You certainly have the potential. Wakey's potential is there, I think, but it hasn't been proven yet, whereas yours has.

Tend to agree.
This guy hasn't covered himself in glory with this hamfisted approach (if it's actually true that any approach has been made) seemingly done via the media. Very professional
