| Thank God we don't live on Planet Eddie. Must be the most miserable planet in the universe.
For a more objective and less [ischadenfreude[/i-laden summation, this extract from the Sporting Life report is maybe a tad more apposite
Quote: McLennan "The Bulls performed splendidly in the absence of key overseas pair Matt Orford and Brett Kearney, with Paul Sykes and Heath L'Estrange acquitting themselves well as a makeshift half-back pair, but they paid the price for their inability to finish off try-scoring opportunities.'"
So Leeds had to play the best they have played all season to put 12 unanswered points on a team missing its two main playmakers (and three best players this season) and with a thin squad and acknowledged (by the Chairman at the Fans Forum) to be light on the wings due to financial constraints. Credit to Leeds - played really well. Credit to our lads - shame about the errors which - with some strange decisions in the first half - cost us the match. No credit to ME for reverting to miserable type.

Just think yourself lucky you don't have to go live on planet Eddie. The most depressing miserable planet in the cosmos.

| All things considering, I thought the scoreline was quite respectful......Orford, Keano and Langley out; 2 tries bombed; Lynch going ever so close; some dodgy decisions by Silverwood..............we certainly wasn't 'played off the park' or embarrassed as we have in recent times!

| No grumbles about effort today - it was there from 1-17.
Sheriffe had a stinker today, it has to be said. His knock on with the line begging wasn't too bad given how high the pass was, but some other terrible errors. Reardon's fumble was terrible.
My main grumble is with Silverwood. He just wouldn't pick up on forward passes, two Leeds tries came from them (You can't really fault Leeds, they picked up on it and kept the flat passes coming). It's also rather strange that any Bulls pass that looked slightly flat got picked up though, given how many Leeds got away with. The Nero no try was an absolutely shocking call aswell, he had his hands on him, but there was no pushing whatsoever.
Also, when it looked like Delaney might have fumbled the ball over the line, Silverwood went to the screen. When the same happened with Lynch, he disallowed it straight away. A little one-sided maybe?
Whitehead, Addy & Donno all went pretty well. Worrincy made some good tackles. Glenn Hall takes my MoM, I thought he was immense today, although there were plenty of candidates (apart from 2&5 )
Lastly, I applaud both teams effort in the scorching heat today. It could have turned the game into an error fest due to fatigue and tiredness, but they kept putting the effort in and there was some good rugby on show.
Oh, one more thing, when they awarded Leeds a drop-out, why weren't they penalised for taking Whitehead out in the air by his head????

Definitely.
Our best half, our best outside back and our biggest forward out. On another day 2 Leeds tries would have been wiped off & Nero's given. The scoreline flattered Leeds a little anyway but if we hadn't bombed 3 chances we could have had that game in the bag. The boys will feel disappointed, but they played excellently (especially in the conditions) and I'm looking forward to next week.
We're still in the top 6 aswell

I agree. You played excellently against a team with only 1 sub for the 2nd half.
Why would Neros try be given on another day? It was a foul.
Which Leeds tries would be wiped off?

a foul? the leeds player just about stopped after our player touched him and then started moving again and fell over. at least they know how to milk it!

The first, with 2 forward passes.
McGuire's from the forward pass from Eastwood.
It wasn't a foul, he had his hands on Donald, but he didn't push him.

You have to give credit to Kirke for that effort tbh.

| Dire, dire, dire today.
And thats the ref.
Gifted Leeds 14 points, denied us 8. Shocking.
Apart from that, a lot of effort from a makeshift team, but didn't ever look like catching Leeds once that had taken the lead. Pity that once again the officials decide to take centre stage.
