It distracts the opposition, a cunning ploy

Langley has always been a beast. Friday was no different. It's just people are waking up to how good of a player this guy actually is.

Speaking as a a Wigan fan - congrats on the comeback by the way - I think Langley has been outstanding as well but don't quite see the need to slate O'Loughlin in order to praise Jamie. To be fair, both are tremendously hard-working players who are just tackling machines, both easily making over 40 tackles in single games this year. I don't think anyone would disagree that Lockers is far more creative with the ball than Langley but, on the other hand, Langley runs the ball in much harder than Lockers. In fact, Langley runs the ball in harder than most of the props in Super League, only he does it for a lot longer. Personally, if I were picking the England team right now, I'd have Langley, Lockers and Sinfield (Sinfield at dummy half, as in 4 nations) in the team and I think they'd all do us proud.

As a junior he was highly regarded for his passing ability. In fact my very first memory of him in a Bulls shirt was of a couple of great passes at wakey. Over the years the passing side if his game seems to have declined, we've obviously decided to use other players in that role.
