Quote: yougengis "I had my cynical head on when I read this first thing, but now I've spent a bit of time actually reading what its about I'm slightly interested. Still it looks like you need to spend a mint to get anywhere near a reasonable amount of points to use on merchandise.

I think the simple solution of slashing ticket prices to draw in crowds would have worked better.'"

I think the club might be better served slashing ticket prices for specific games as you need to maintain the value of a season ticket. But for home games against teams like quins, cataland and celtic (assuming they're still there) where we get our lowest crowds, what's wrong with offering season ticket holders a "take a mate" voucher? or offering half price tickets until the Friday before the game (again assuming the games will continue to be played Sunday afternoons). That way you've got guaranteed income from those tickets and the likelyhood of more people turning out for those games. More people=more revenue at concession stands.

Potentially, but it's proven to work for others before.

I've booked mine anyway. They don't have the equipment to put the details onto them yet but will have soon. Mine will be posted out.

This will end the practice of selling spare vouchers outside the ground - this happens a lot. People sell them for £5 or £10 for a mate or family member who can't make it and often give away spare kids tickets.

You might lend your card to a trusted person if you can't yourself make the game but it's not as easy as tearing a voucher out of the book is it?

The points won't be easy to accrue. I do use some of the companies listed though and would be likely to use my points to get a discount at least - even if it's only a small one.

I guess all clubs will eventually take this kind of thing up as is happening in football.

My daughter got her renewal letter for this today. I must say, it looks good. Letter personalised with her name throughout too - she was most impressed!

There is also a picture of a Bulls shirt on the back with her name on. I wonder if this is the new design?

It's a nice piece of marketing really. The one thing I notice is that it appears that free entry to AWAY games for juniors is only available if you get your ticket before the early bird deadline - so be aware.

But it looks good, I'm excited about getting one. Can we start collecting points from as soon as we get them I wonder?

Got ours paid for so will just wait for them to arrive, a good idea even though we are not the first with this one.

A great idea and a positive step forward.

I have a Chelsea membership and was discussing in our group the fact the Bulls should move to something similar, bizarre!

With the Chelsea games, you gain points for games you attend home and away, I wonder if this is something the new card offers? This would reward the loyalty to the Bulls for away games too.

Yeah, I got mine today too and it's very impressive. The shirt on the back is probably next years home shirt from the back, but probably a prototype. Also, if you look closely you can see the damart logo on the back collar and the bulls and JCT600 logo that would be on the front of the shirt very faintly through it, so it probably a good indicator what we'll be getting, rather than it just being a training top or something.

For those who want to know, it seems like it will be white, with full red, amber and black (in that order!) sleeves, and some ra&b stripes on the back (this part I'm not too keen on, looks quite good otherwise).

Having read the leaflet myself, I can't recall reading that. Especially since it's SL policy that junior season ticket holders at all clubs should be able to get into all matches. Where it's unclear is in the under 8's section it says it will be programmed for 13 home matches only - I would assume that means you'll have to go Odsal at some stage in the season to show your card to get a ticket for the relevant away match since away grounds wont have automatic card readers.

The renewal letter IS impressive. It needed to be after this season. Big rap for the club recognising this and delivering. £30 of shop vouchers for introducing a friend is a strong offer too.

Might just make a difference to renewals. Credit where its due, eusa_clap.gif

Slagged off before we've even seen the front of it. Even better it's not even been confirmed as the actual shirt, and in all likelyhood it's a prototype.

A new pessimistic low for Bradford! icon_wink.gif
