Or are you just unhappy about him possibly signing due to his injury record?'"
Yes, I'm familiar with him and yes I'd be surprised and disappointed if we're signing him to play as a half back. He's a reasonable fullback, who hasn't managed a lot of games for the Sharks and who is seeking a decent pay packet in the UK whilst he still has some potential. That's no disrespect to him, it's a perfectly appropriate approach to a career in RL, but if we are going to sign him as a replacement for Jefferies then it must be viewed as a big gamble and I'm not sure that taking a big gamble is the best approach for our recruitment policy whilst the team is struggling and we're in need of solid recruitment in key areas.
I have nothing against him, I'm just struggling to see how signing an injury prone fullback to be our next stand off is evidence of a sound recruitment strategy. Of course there could be nothing in it, lots of people seemed convinced Wing was coming.

| Quote: guess who "Glad to see the stopping of P/R for franchises ,has stopped clubs bringing over injury prone playe.....................oh wait a minute.
Bradford get rid of one crocked Aussie and replace him with another one.
I assume your having a dig at us not picking/playing English lads instead??
Did you see our last team sheet?
We had 13 of the 17 as English lads, 7 of whom are our own academy products.
A Super league club that uses all available quota spots and develops its own players as well ....shocker!

Agreed, hope that this signing, if true, isn't going to be heralded as the solution to our halfback problems.

Because his passing isn't up to it. That's why he was moved from the halves to the wing in the academy (he used to play 7 at one time)

You also change a part of the team that doesn't seem to have major issues in the hope it will fix somewhere else.

| I think if Brett Kearney can prove is fitness to us he will be a massive improvement on what we already have in the backs no matter what position he plays.

If he can rekindle a fraction of the form he showed while partnering Peter Sterling at Parramatta it will be worth it.

| Looks like an odd move, but then again Leeds have just signed Delaney from the Titans who has the hallmarks of being a bit of a plodder.
If the rumour is correct, perhaps it would be best to judge this guy when he turns out in Bulls colours. As an NRL regular you'd have thought he be at least better than Platt at FB and whatever passes for half-backs currently at your club

I think one of those suitcases with wheels & a handle, which marks you out as possibly gay but lots of common sense.

Why only single out Halley who's passing isn't good enough ? It's not one the entire teams strong point atm.

I noticed on Sunday that Halley was often involved in the playmaking side of things.....more so than Sykes......hmmm
