| From a swift reconnaissance mission on the Leeds board, it appears that their players still OOC are Ablett, Gibson, Kirke, Smith & Worrall.

Ablett - competent, never be any more.
Gibson - never be big enough or good enough.
Kirke - has the size, not sure he has anything special (unusual for a Donny lad), I expect they will keep him but might be worth a shot.
Smith - staying or yawnion.
Worrall - Another Donny lad, can't see them keeping him, not sure I would bother.

Yup, Smith being the only one I'd be interested in. However, such is the paucity of back talent available that if he stays on the list I'd have thought just about all clubs would be interested.

| I wonder what Saints are paying Soliola. Must be a fortune considering the competition for a decent centre.

he's not really a top centre is he? he's good no doubt but is far from spectacular to the eye. he is a defensive centre not a strike player. not one of the nrl's best or top centres by any stretch!! but will defo do a job
gould and co say his best position is second row

Very little from what I hear at the club. It is the desire to play with Ade Gardner that was the attraction.

But given the competition for his signature ( e.g. Leeds) surely that will have bumped up his contract a bit.

No doubt it will depend e.g. on who is paying for his image rights, whether money is being paid into an employee benefit trust, whether he provides services through a personal services company and whether monies are paid to him when he is in transit permanently back home...
Of course, its always possible he'll be getting just a straightforward salary - stranger things have happened!

Can't blame the guy though when you consider how good The Arrow from Barrow has made average centres like Lyon and Gidley look

kirke is very under rated.not top class by any means but hits hard, makes good yardage and doesn't miss many tackles. a really solid player.i hope we retain him.
ablett is similer, always puts in a good shift and is a real 100% player.
with the cap as it is you need these type of players, won't be on big money but good squad players.
gibson was destined to be a top class player but injuries have put paid to that.he won't be retained.
worrall is dependable, been injured all season. i would say it's 50/50 if he stays or goes.
smith i hope stays but as has been documented wasps are in for him.

Are you being serious ?
Thorman is not good enough for a super league team going for the play-offs
If that is your standard of signing you are happy to have your team has gone backwards further than i thought
surely you could go for a better player ?

Fair enough, but is he good enough for Bradford?
