Quote: mystic eddie "

The performance was there last night. The effort was outstanding, the players did very well and it was a terrific result. The likes of Halley, Worrincy (!), Sheriffe and Jeffries were terrific and the side pulled off a wholly unexpected win that MAY kick-start the season and they (and McNamara) deserve all the praise they will get after the game.

However, they now need to push on and prove that it was not just a case that managed to raise our game against our derby rivals and that it was a one off. I could also ask where that performance had been for the rest of the season.

Credit where it is undoubtedly due, the team proved me (and more than a few others) wrong last night. Hopefully I will be eating a lot more humble pie in the following weeks.'"

eusa_clap.gif well done for showing up ME, there will be plenty of posters who wont post again untill we lose again. And I agree with the bit in bold, we really need to back it up on Monday at Wakey, that could be even tougher though, to raise ourselves after that effort with such a short turnaround.

Irrespective of whether this win secures his future, hopefully MacNamara will feel free to watch the match from his normal place in future.

TBH think he should stay on touchline, gets more involved that way. Anyone else notice we used side entrance to changing rooms rather than tunnel at end of warm up. maybe a sign of keeping team and coaching staff away from the boo boys before kickoff? icon_smile.gif

However, just for a bit of balance and to help your argument, what do the Wigan capitulation, the Castleford collapse and the early cup exit following another major bottling mean?'"

Still needing time to think FA?

Or maybe coincidence?

No. You chose to stay off-site. I don't need "to think", as I have stated my views in detail on each of those games, so if you are that bothered, trawl back and read them.

Roughly translated - you can't. Or else you would have to contradict yourself and look silly. Well done!

You just can't be bothered to trawl back, and are happier resorting to your usual amateur dramatics and non sequiturs.

Meanwhile the fact remains that as I said, my opinions on the games you cite are there to be read, in the unlikely event that you actually wanted to know. It doesn't come any simpler than that.

I have read them. I am simply asking if a good win against Leeds means that he "can coach", then what do the bad performances say about him?

It is nothing to do with "amateur dramatics" in the slightest. It is actually more to do with the fact that you seem to contradict yourself completely and it pretty much shows that your argument is completely flawed.

TBH, and I don't think I'm alone in thinking this, but the sexual tention between ME and FA is really disrupting the harmony of the board and really the pair of you should just go off somewhere and "work out" your frustrations on each other icon_lol.gif

Now, back to the matter in hand, it seemed to me that the team was physically and mentally exhausted after Friday and tbh I don't think the easter period does any team any good. A 2 day turnaround between games might be ok for football where it's a less physically demanding game but for RL there needs to be a longer break and I think Easter is where we should be losing a game (ie 1 less game played) for the good of the league

But don't all the teams have the same issue? We had a huge result against leeds and we should have carried that forward...we didn't.

I think the game against Wire will be a watershed for me, win and it'll be 2 wins from 3... looks ok, however...... lose and it's 2 wins from 9 and in anybodies books it that just isn't good enough good.

I really am trying not be negative but it's a reality of the situation we are in.

I agree Northern Lad. The Leeds win was immense but apart from that there's been very little to excite so far.

We simply have to start putting wins together.

Message to McNamara - it's time to $hit or get off the pot.
