Dual Reg - Dual Reg will remain in some form in 2015.

Ridiculous, and open to abuse if the procedures and rules for it are not tight enough or policed well enough by the RFL......
Lets say Hull FC duel reg 4 SL quality players who "need gametime" with Donny mid season (for eg) Donny then get into the middle 8 as a result, Hull FC fall into the middle 8 and withdraw their players - giving an advantage to Hull and stuffing Donny at short notice, and the team that missed out on the middle 8 to Donny might not be too impressed either. I can see these rules being a farce.
It was a bad enough idea when the leagues were seperate, now the leagues join up in the playoffs its a terrible idea IMHO.

| Will they be holding a course on it? If they started one in the next couple of weeks then by January someone might understand it, provided they do ever finalise the actual details.
Dual reg "in some form" for example, my arris.

| [i"At this stage it is intended that the Summer Bash and one match from every week of the Qualifiers will be broadcast live."[/i
Slightly disappointing that there won't be ANY weekly games from the Championship on tv. Only the weekend in Blackpool and some of the playoff games are to be shown.
Although it does say 'live', so I suppose there is still some scope for pre-recorded games to be shown.
It's still a backward step from when the champ games were on premier sports, it almost feels like Sky have bought the rights to the championship but then aren't bothering to do anything with it?

| Got a feeling bonus points will come into it as well with RFL retweeting those who want it.
Dual reg is a farce. Also don't agree with the top 8 coming into round 6 of CC. They get a huge advantage in everything. What the RFL are going to end up doing with "making every game competitive"'is te same playing teams playing each other all the time and saturating it. Wigan could play Saints 6 times next year. I know there is a possibility with it now, but with the top 8 teams coming into CC much later, it narrows chances of ten playing each other.
Whoever I finishes top 8 this year will finish too 8 for future seasons due to difference in attendances.

| Can anyone else see the flaw in the 12 points for going into Admin?
A team who is destined to be in the bottom 4 of SL (let's use Wakefield as completely random example ) has financial issues. They go into Admin one game from the end of the regular season, and lose 12 points.
But it doesn't matter a jot if they were going to finish in the bottom four anyway, because the slate gets wiped clean for the Super 8, and they'll still have their full salary cap and SL players.
Any team with financial problems can use this device to clear their debts whilst remaining in SL

Don't worry as august and wise a body as the RFL will have already thought about that, err surely.

I don't think it actually states on the RFL site that Duel Reg will stay in any form. It just says that a working group is looking at ways to make it work whilst not restricting the ability to give players some game time.
That said, personally I don't see how it would work between the SL and Championship, mainly because the two are integrally linked now.
And in any case, the loan system where players can be recalled just side steps any regulations that would be put in place. The easiest thing is to say that any loans are done until end of season without the option for recalls

| The obvious solution to the dual reg issue is for SL teams to dual-reg with teams in the Championship One
Problem solved
And I did that without the need for a 'working party'
