| Great photo - very much the era that I started supporting the club, and I recall pretty well all of those players.
Digging the cool hair of Kel Earl - if he'd have been able to keep hold of the ball as well as he could grow his hair, he'd have been a world beater

| Brian Hogan....now there was a barmpot if I ever met one. 100 sheets to the wind that guy but I have to get this off my chest, and thanks for the opportunity... Quite a few years ago, I played in a Bradford Amateur team (Fairweather Green)and we went to somewhere (Rochdale ?maybe..to play another team in the cup) and I saw that my idol, Eddie Tee's was playing for them. During the match he went around and punched everyone, even me and even kicked one of the very young lad's, he went from Hero to absolute zero, (he did not need to do that as he was still an excellent player)..I hated the guy, scumbag, to do what he did.. I've had this hatred for him for years...now it's off my chest...(I hope he does not come looking for me) Otherwise the team had some really good players in it then, and true, Kel Earl was the fastest Prop I have ever seen, but he NEVER could catch the Ball, ever, period..shame really..

| Funnily enough the total opposite happened to me.....different player mind. Dean Sampson for Cas, hated him as a player always thought he was a dirty and no good for the game. But now at 17 years of age I found myself playing against him a few month back when I was at Dudley Hill 2nd team and he was playing prop for Fryston. He wasn't dirty at all and at 42 he still ripped us apart and even congratulated us younger guys for putting in massive effort, he went from Zero to pretty cool guy.
Anyway back on topic It's great that some of you older folk are putting pics up of older teams as I for one was born in 1995 so didn't experience all the 70's and 80's however ever week without fail my grandad mentions players and games from this period and it's nice for me to be able to see these players on your pictures

| Anyone know what happened to a winger named Coggle. In the last season before folding in Nov 63 he had scored something like 10 tries out of the teams total of around 20. I know he went to Batley because I actually went to see him play there, but after that never heard of him. A few players were re-signed after the reformation including Abed, but I could never understand why he was not brought back.

Have a look on the Rugby League Heritage Project website for photos of that era. www.rugbyleagueheritageproject.co.uk
Some are individual photos, e.g Enslin and Rudi and some in team photos. Also check out the Trevor Foster Bar in the Coral Stand for team photos. Quiz in there on Friday at 8.00pm plus a showing of the 2003 CC Final.

Some big waistlines, but how skinny are those backs compared to today's players?

| Lamb and Redfearn. Now they were a wing partnership.Remember Redfearn scoring a try away at Thrum Hall where he beat every opposing player on the pitch,TWICE--LOL.Now he could score tries from anywhere on the pitch.
Great times and great photo.
