Great news. Hopefully something similar is in the pipeline for Tom Burgess. Bateman's contracted to 2014 so I can't see them revisiting that so soon. Announcements on Elima, Crookes, Addy would also be excellent.

Right now I'd also resign Hargreaves, Walker, Pryce and I'd like to see the club give Donno another year to show real support for the kid. I think that would send a positive message to the other lads.

Then there's the Nas v Sammut problem. I'd keep both if at all possible but if there's no space I'm not sure who i'd let go.

I suspect we'll need to look at improving Bateman's contract, hopefully as part of extending it.

thats a really tricky one. At moment i'm erring towards nas for simple reason I cant see where we're going to get a decent british prop from. If worst happens we could lose burgess to OZ and scruton to injury. Leaving us with just koppy and hargreaves (assuming latter resigns). even if mcavoy is ready to step up leaves us looking for 2 or 3 British props to get up to strength and just cant see the quality out there. whereas we have a fair few coming through in halves, admittedly none are ready yet, but its a void we should be able to fill from within the club even if it means giving jeffries a year or two exta to bridge the gap.

Great bit of news that. Started looking at the rest of the squad out of contract and i'd hope the following are also tied down:

Chev Walker, Olivier Elima, Bryn Hargreaves, James Donaldson, Tom Burgess, Danny Addy, Jason Crookes and Karl Pryce.

From what i've seen I think Manase Manuokafoa and Jarrod Sammut (if the quota allows it) could also be given a new deal but I can't see the following being given new contracts:

Ben Jeffries, Ian Sibbit, Shaun Ainscough, Kyle Briggs, Liam McAvoy and Phil Joseph
