Have Ho, Green and Matongo been released?

Ho has retired on medical grounds, it was confirmed at last weeks fans forum. Green offered a deal and thinking about it, Matongo offered one and declined so will move on

Looking at the squad numbers given out at Huddersfield, Fenton has been given no.25 which doesn't exactly seem like a ringing endorsement ahead of the new season.

I'm gutted for the lad if that is the case, especially as he could end up on DR with Dewsbury if not getting game time. Looking at us now compared with last year, no doubt he would certainly boost our front row:

2023 - Lawrence, Scurr, Baldwinson, Rogers, Doro, Matongo, Okoro & Johnson
2024 - Lawrence, Scurr, Baldwinson, Smith, Doro and Okoro

Baldwinson won’t be recovered for the start of the season. He had his op in July? Usually 8-9 months recovery for a cruciate repair.

It'll be released on Tuesday of next week. Pre-orders available the same day and hopefully it'll be in store to buy on 18/12/23. The club are cutting it very close for meeting the Christmas deadline. Sounding like it is out of their hands.

Going by the Wigan shirts I aren't expecting much.

The club are teasing the release on their socials at the moment. Last years kit was one of the worst we've ever had so anything new will feel like an upgrade in my opinion. Just like every year, lets hope for an Amber away kit. Not had one since 99.

Looks like we may be signing Aiden McGowan on a season long loan from Huddersfield. Played for Batley last season and looked very handy.
Good cover for full back and wing.
