| Quote Mirfieldbull="Mirfieldbull"Is this charge against the lease that's been talked about?
If he is preferred creditor, he would seem to have the strongest hand to buy it back hasn't he, which would be a PR disaster and a bridge too far for some fans.'"
If green gets the club back after using admin just to wipe his debts it would be too far for me. Id want nothing to do with that.

| Same here.
I may be being thick here I'm not sure what this "charge on the ground" that is apparently worth £650k means.
Does it mean if Green loses out to another bidder the winner has to pay him £650k if they want to clear all the debt?
That just looks like Green's way of getting his money back. £650 seems a bit steep? Where's that figure come from?
Having said that if someone outbids Green and decides they're not settling any debts Green will get nowt. Is that right?
If the whole thing goes into liquidation would Green be the main person to get anything from the asset sell off. So he'd get the pittance raise from pulling down and scrapping the south bank?
Green is finished IMHO.

Good statement really, just hope he hasn't put his foot in it speaking about the RFL like that.

| Personally I think he's been quite clever with his wording/statement - ultimately pointing out that it was the RFL who approved both Omar and Green, who have ultimately pushed us into administration 2 of the 3 times.......would be a case of put up or shut up from Lawn though I feel if he were to get the gig.

| It needed saying though. The "neutral" fan seems to be oblivious to RFL culpability. I know it's far easier to make a bland statement blaming the owners, but it's about time fans held the RFL to account for their damaging actions far more often. They are totally teflon.

| Hope Lawn doesn't blow his chances by hurting fat Nigel's feelings.
TBH he has to be approved by the administrator before the RFL get their say IIRC so I guess we'll wait and see.

Thinking legally, I think it might just get him his money back if the business actually folds, as opposed to being bought from administration, as he will be a preferred creditor, and whatever the lease is sold for, he will get his money back. If, however, creditors are paid via administration, which can be a proportion, he is probably in the same pool as everyone else, albeit he has to be paid off to get rid of the charge.

| That is a good statement and some of it does need saying. Id happily support a club run within its means in the championship by someone who knows what they're doing and is honest. you can build again towards sl in time, but this constant spending what we don't have and avoiding tax just is not the way or sustainable, the club will, quite rightly, die.
Lawn is saying all the right things for me, but we'll see if he gets a chance to back it up.

Still baffled. If it's £650k he'll be owed the most out of all the creditors.
The lease on the ground isn't the club's or administrators to sell. It's owned by the RFL.

| Nobody really has any idea how much Marc has put into the club over the last two years, but some did point out that for those last few months of the year we went down everyone was paid on time despite there being no money left. It had to come from somewhere, so perhaps that figure could be something to do with that?

| I'd be more than happy for Rhodes and Lawn to take the club. They steadied the ship down at VP and turned City into one of the stronger teams in the league with huge crowds for their playing level
