| If Lynch does go, I shall be disappointed. He does a hell of a lot of work on the pitch and that's going to be missed.
However, he will be 32 going into next season. So if Hull are offering him a longer deal than Bradford, and probably for more money then I say good luck and thanks for all your hard work Andy

| I do not think that Andy Lynch would still be at the peak of his powers by the time the Bulls are hoping to contend in the upper echelon of Super League. So losing an ageing player, albeit a good one does not perturb me too much.
This should be an opportunity for the Bulls to replace him with a younger player who could become a cornerstone of the pack for years to come. Unfortunately I fear that the club will instead opt for a the stop gap option.
Similarly one would hope that players such as Nick Scruton takes on added responsibility and flourishes.

| No - we are a club which the better players want to leave, so we are forced to get some money for them, which is worse.

| Thanks for all the effort Andy.
I fear we'll miss you but coming towards the end of your career I can see why the club would accept a fee, and I can also see why Lynch would want the extra security, ££, and play off rugby.
Good luck.

| Im curious.
Why is a 31 year old prop (they being renowned for longevity) be assumed to be over the hill, past it and just 2 seasons left because he leaves us?
The point being, we don't want to be hemorrhaging players of his class.

I agree but if he is going to leave next year anyway then the fee can be spent on a replacement (hopefully).
I don't think he's over the hill but I would be surprised if he keeps going as well as he has and for as many minutes over the next few years.

Well I don't Lynch is over the hill. In fact his average stats over the 7 years he's been here look like this
Appearances: 26
Meters: 3075
Carries: 440
Tackles: 635
Offloads: 54
Tackle Busts: 41
Clean Breaks: 4
Missed Tackles: 23
Errors: 15
Penalties: 13
So really, I'd have to say that unless the club is getting a LARGE transfer fee, I'm talking similar to Fielden's then I'd say it was a bad deal for Bradford.

| Not too bothered about Lynch going. I appreciate the work he has put in but I cannot stop thinking he is part of the losing culture at the club.
New captain, new direction, everyone wins!
Thanks for the last 7 years Andy, best of luck for the future!

As if we are going to spend the money on a replacement. Like we did with Burgess? Like we did with Fielden?
Let him leave next year then, at least we get another year out of him.

| I rather think we spent the Fielden money on keeping the club out of the hands of the Administrator.

Yeah, lets get rid of Lynch, one of the few that gives 100% every game, because he is symptomatic of the losing culture at the club. But let's keep hold of the deadwood, the ones that can't be d, because they do wonders for the winning spirit.

I didn't say he was responsible, and there are many more in the team also that could go without me losing sleep,
The team needs new foundations.
He doesn't inspire the team and when the chips are down, he can't do anything about it. I'm actually looking forward to a new captain!!
