What HAS been said many times is that using hindsight to justify a different course of action to that taken is hardly constructive when we are where we are.

No. Retrospective comments geared towards how to improve in future are completely different to your comment re Morrison which is merely narrative. Equally we shouldn't have signed Harris, kept Macca after he got the England job, or left Odsal in 2002. All of these help to tell the bulls story but aren't relevant to moving the club, or even the debate, forward today.

Which makes it all the more strange that you ignored the middle two lines of my post.

If we're going to get all flowery on the language though, I'm not sure that a word can have an emotion emanate from it. The emotion is intrinsically a resultant aspect of the interpretation of the reader but that is not to say that it in any way originates from the word itself. In fact you seem to be saying that the emotion is both a necessary and also contingent property of the word which is, frankly, metaphysical nonsense.

I guess the lesson is that the particular words you use give out more than just a straight forward meaning. I'd suggest that you use more normal day to day language to get your points across unless you want to cloud people's judgement of what you're trying to say.
