I had a call today and said because they are charging more for less games of lower quality rugby played by mostly part time players.

No phone call received as yet, but they'll get exactly the same answer from me too.
I also won't be "paying on the day" if those prices remain the same either (not that they've bothered to tell anyone what price is...). Since it looks from a previous post like they're actually increasing, there's absolutely no chance. I'm also not paying £15 for a friendly (won't do that anywhere). Only game at Odsal priced reasonably enough for me to attend would be the Boxing Day game, but I am visiting family that day so unavailable even if it was free.
Unless they do a cut price game, I won't be at Odsal at all in 2018 for a game. This particular cash cow has tapped out. I'll be supporting the team at away games instead.

I don't think he was training, i saw a picture of him up at Tong but not in training gear. If anything i would guess he was there working with the coaching team.

| For me it's not really about the expense it's more about whether we've turned the corner or not. I want to be persuaded the bad times are over and we can finally say we're bottomed out and are on the way back. However the lack of communication, the fannying about with the coach and the dreaded court case are holding me back.

Probably no-one, which is what I'd expect. But that was the point really, IF players have been signed but are yet to be announced, then, the majority at least, would surely be in pre-season training?
It just makes me wonder how much spinning (just being kind..)was going on when AC said, at the forum, that there were 'around a dozen' still to be announced yet they've announced far fewer and the pre-season games are nearly here. Did he mean 'still to be finalised', 'cos that's certainly what it looks like.

If I'm honest, considering what he said about when shirts would be out and various other promises / statements he repeatedly fails to deliver on, I'm amazed anyone still listens to a word the bloke says. But then people still listen to other pretend journalists who have been found guilty of repeatedly talking out of their too (of which I'm sure I need to name no names).
The fans forums have effectively turned into a session of lies and false promises to try and stop fans shouting at them for a few weeks.

| The trouble with Fan Forums is there is generally a good amount of 'I'm a better and more loyal fan than you lot' sychophants who want to be the clubs twitter feed as good puppies. Soon as the hits the fan they pipe up trying to save the clubs face....

I said there was no way I was paying £199 for a season ticket - I always buy mine a few days before the first game but may now not buy one at all as I miss 2 or 3 games each season with work / holidays so may just pay on the gate.
I appreciate they need the money but this is no way to treat loyal long term fans.'"
I had an email about not renewing yet this morning and just had the phone call too. Only problem is I went up and renewed our two tickets yesterday. Seems like their database is a bit slow updating.

| Out of interest, who is it that's calling? Some random person in the ticket office or have they got Robbie doing it to try and use some of his charm? Or gone middle ground with Duffy?

Didn't give a name. Wasn't Robbie as I'd have recognised accent. Suspect its just office staff.

| I will be tell em the truth if they ring me and hope some it gets back to AC but it seems unlikely it will because everything everyone seems to say to him or the club, noone wver seems to get a truthful or any answer.

| I won't be buying a ST as I will certainly need to miss 2-3 games (at the very minimum) our to holidays and/or work commitments. And the pricing structure of ST's these days mean that I'd be worse off than paying on the day.
The problem, as others have alluded to, is that without a ST there is always the temptation to skip a game if it freezing / pouring with rain / sunbathing weather or if there is some sort of last minute family commitment or whatever.
When I had the ST I jolly made sure to show up - because, being a typical Yorkshireman, I didn't want to lose out financially! Next season, I'll probably end up at around 50% of games, because 'stuff' will mean I don't turn up at a few games.
Maybe something the club need to consider in future years?

| It would seems the club don't like criticism, i put a tweet on one of their twitter posts at tea time and they seem to have got rid of it. I only mentioned the squad of 23 and then shirts not even revealed.

| Well I have just made my mind up - after having a season ticket for many years, I am not renewing this time. I will miss at least 2 games due to holidays. This has always been the case but I bought a season ticket anyway as it was a good deal. How do I know how good a deal it is this time? Apparently buying a season ticket would save me 'up to 49%' If that is the case, then they must know what the 'on the gate prices' are?
I will turn up as always next season whenever I can, whatever the weather.
But please listen Mr Chairman, if you are reading this - I sincerely thank you for saving my club, but do not take my support for granted and do not treat me like I was born yesterday.

It was a bloke in the office that rang me. When I asked about the on the gate prices he said he would speak to the chairman and ring me back (AC was on the phone). Half an hour later he did ring me back to say AC was still on the phone...but the prices had not been set yet.
So, what is 49% of an unknown price?
Answers on a postcard please to Odsal Stadium...

Not surprising in the slightest. As I've said a few times in the last day or two, more lies and smokescreens. How do they expect to gain any trust from fans when they clearly lie time and time again?
You're absolutely right when you say fans are being taken for granted.
