Pretty sure that Diabira was from Hull (with an Algerian-French father!). I also thought that David Hill was from Halifax, though I'm less sure. Joe Pitts was definitely Bradfordian, though. Also, did his brother John ever actually play for the first team?

| If Mumby was not born in Bradford it is a pretty limited & ordinary bunch. Very surprising when you think of other productive areas close by.

I`d go for David coming from Bradford, though I think that technically Queensbury , where his family lived, was separate back in those days (Queensbury and Shelf UDC). When local government was re-organised back in the seventies Queensbury came to Bradford and Shelf went into Calderdale.
Bak came from the Hull area IIRC, though possibly actually born in France?
We had an Andy Robinson who played scrum half?, not sure where he came from, though he did live next door to my sister in Shelf at one time.
Joe Pitts??

Joe & John Pitts were both forwards who were on Northern's books in the mid to late 70s. One definitely for the first team, the other may not have got past the reserves. I think they later went to Batley. I'm confident that they were Bradfordians, as their father, Percy, was a notable local character (a mobile greengrocer!).

| Fairly certain that Keith Mumby was born up in the north east. Durham springs to mind but I could be wrong.

Believe David Hill was from Queensbury
Not sure about Bak, lives in Wyke.
Both always gave 100% every week, unlike some folk last season.
Anyone know where the Fearnley's were from?

Sorry for missing your earlier post but at least we agree!
Fairly certain the Fearnleys were Halifax born and bred.

Such a small world. Was that Pitts the younger?

| The fact of the matter is that Bradford isn't a Rugby Town. With no disrespect to the district amateur sides but the city has, in the scheme of things, bugger all Rugby League.
Hence the shockingly poor number of homegrown chaps we can quote in this thread. Its meant we've had to cast our eyes extremely wide to find new talent like our Cumbrian jaunts.
