I suppose it could sort of assume that everyone in one will be in the other , but it was more trying to assume that everyone was in it for gaining as much benefit for the club and supporters as they could.
The Supporters Trust will hopefully be able to mature and benefit both of those.
It was just a suggestion that seems to work for both the long and short term.
The Supporters Trust could, in future, be in a better possition to continue the good work that the group of people involved in 'Sponsor a Player' have started.
I don't have a say in the decission you will make but I just thought that this would be worth considering.

While this is a good idea, I don't think we'll be in a position to have the supporters trust in existence in time for this sponsorship to go through. I think it's a great idea for the trust to run a 'sponsor a player' scheme for the 2011 season though, as we've seen the scheme has raised an excess just through this forum and that money could be put back into the academy team. Also the club have already said they're happy for the trust to feature in the matchday magazine and to have player appearances at events, so we're not missing out on the 'advertising' and visibility that sponsoring players would bring.

With regards to The Burgesses and squad number:

Errr, not necessarily.

There are some excisting long sponsorships announced for players, how about Jason Crookes as an example? sponsored by "Gerald Ward of Utility Warehouse" I think it has to be some iteration of this forum's name as that is the collection of people putting the money in, thats where we as a sponsorship group are, however long winded it seems.
