I must admit I have been drawn into the new owner / RFL speculation myself and I think it is just wishful thinking that there is a light at the end of this god awful tunnel.
With regards to players been told they may be part time next year if we are relegated to C1 then this would have to be the case.
Lets see what today holds! there might be a flood of exciting announcements, then again maybe not.'"
Andrew Chalmers isn't going anywhere. He's just bought a house near Bradford and is currently in the process of relocating.
There's a lot of silly rumours going around at the minute.

| Quote: paulwalker71 "I was just thinking that earlier
I've been a supporter, man and boy, for 50 years and I don't think I've ever felt as disconnected to the club as I do right now. I'm posting this in the (most likely) vain hope that someone, somewhere might read this thread and come to realise that the supporter base cannot be taken for granted indefinitely.'"
Totally correct and I feel very similar. I regrettably dumped the Season Ticket this year after almost 20 years, but the club haven’t said or done anything that have made me consider I’ve made the wrong choice, to the point I didn’t even realise we were playing on Saturday until the game was over (thought it was Sunday. Lucky I didn’t have flights and a ticket!)
I think I remember saying that the new owners had a grace period of goodwill and then the defeats would start to rack up and frustration would set in if we didn’t have any clear answers or a plan. That, sadly, seems to be coming to pass now. As HamsterChops rightly points out the absence of information is creating a vacuum where “fake news” thrives. We’ve got more things in pipelines than Super Mario World, and to say the fans are being taken for granted is an understatement. It’s rare you see such a lack of appreciation that the fans are the club and key to keeping a club a business, but that is what seems to be happening here.
On the part time thing, if it has to happen, then so be it. But that begs the question, why even bother staying full time this year? Was it a stipulation of re-entry back into the Championship? Again it perhaps comes back to the RFL’s presumption that we would have retained the bulk of the 2016 squad after liquidation. Then again, if the new owners had come in and made the squad part time from the off, that’s a thousand or so off the gate before you kick off so I’m not sure what the solution is.
The fact that we’ve all been scratching our heads for over half a decade about what a realistic solution could be to the club’s woes makes me think that any so-called masterplan is just further pie in the sky

Non of the "Silly" rumours I have heard involve him going anywhere, they do involve him running the Club for A.N other being either Koukash or Nigel Wood..
Its easy to get absorbed in this as it seems that him and Lowe don't have the money to bring in the "bright future" we were promised when they were announced as owners.
All that is evident is that we are surviving by scraps from other teams, and if the structure is to remain next year we are likely to suffer the humiliation of a drop to C1.
Due to the lack of progress and information everyone (myself included) is hoping for some sort of game changing miracle (like a billionaire owner) so we can go forward instead of further backwards.

| While there’s a communication vacuum the rumour mill takes over. That’s not a good situation to be in. It’s alright the chairman saying that “we’ll speak to supporters groups” or “we’ll hold a forum if that’s what people want” he needs to get on and actually do it with Chalmers there.
If they don’t then more damaging rumours will follow. We’re down to the real hardcore following now so I’d hope they would recognise the value of keeping their most loyal customers on side.
As for the various rumours I’m taking them all with a pinch of salt. Neither scenario makes me particularly enthusiastic:
1. The club is in no danger of relegation as there will be a re-structure. But this means these games this season are meaningless.
2. The club is in danger of relegation but nobody is available to sign to strengthen the squad so watch the kids get stuffed every week and us go down.
If it’s scenario 1 and Koukash or whoever is ready to ride to our rescue on one of his white horses then great but I remain sceptical. I respect the poster who’s posted the rumours but I’d urge caution. We’ve been strung along before. If it’s scenario 2 then there probably won’t be a club for much longer. Going part time and being relegated would be the writing on the wall. While the attendance figures published by the club look healthy I do wonder about them sometimes. We’d be lucky to get 1k for games in the division below.

Well, of course there are Mick. That's what you get when you create a vacuum; the void just attracts anything and everything to fill it. We need some proper communication from the owners and we needed a it weeks ago.

| Also when we're winning the bad rumours don't tend to surface, when we're losing however....
The message for now seems to be that they know the team needs strengthening but nobody is available so as you were.
No wonder people are speculating on a re-oganisation of the divisions. Nothing else seems to be likely to save us.

When we lose you have to look for a reason and it focuses on the fact that the people doing the business for us are players that we have on loan. As soon as they are called back you assume we are in for a hiding that week.

| Beattie couldn't have made it plainer in his quote last week. There were some on here saying it was unfair on him to suggest he was criticising, but in fact, he was simply speaking the truth, stating that which is bleedin' obvious to maybe everyone but Cha-Lowe.
And that is, our gallant band of young kids can't compete over a season against battle-hardened experienced opposition. Whuppings were always 100% predictable, and these will only harm both the morale at the club, and the morale amongst the fans.
Doesn't seem like the owners are bothered. As they are doing nothing, and also saying nothing.

| Just on the kids being burnt out, i couldn't help notice that Hodgson & Wilkinson both played in an U19s game a couple of days after both played in the Easter period. WTF was that about? they must have been absolutly drained. Also we had Hallas available, a fresh more experienced body and we didn't play him. Just seemed strange.

| After some optimism a few weeks back we seem to be back where we were before the season began.
This isn't the way to manage our young talent. If I was a parent of one of our kids I'd be starting to get concerned. There's getting a chance and there's being put up as cannon fodder.

I remember Paul Medley talking about something similar back when he was head of youth at Bradford. People were shouting for whatever superstar academy lad we had at the time to be picked more and he out and out said that you can't throw these lads in week in, week out, as all it does is burn them out and ruin them. It's only freaks like Sam Burgess that it will ever work with and all you'll get is players either injured or fed up and giving up the game.
Whilst people like John Bateman have come along since who I would argue falls in that Burgess category, there's only really the likes of Oakes and Bentley that look to me like they're at that level where they can play almost every week. But even Bentley will need a rest every now and again. The likes of Wilkinson & Hodgson should in an ideal situation only be playing a handful of games this year.
