Is there? Given the general lack of support for international football before the World Cup, it's a sport dominated by tribal club loyalties, so on a Bulls forum, I think you're wrong. I've watched Bradford through thick and thin since 1967, if Bulls go under, I'd probably still watch on Sky, probably go to occasional internationals against Australia or New Zealand, but weekly club games, forget it. I suspect a good proportion of fans from every club would say the same in the same situation

If half of the sky money was agreed by OK Bulls and they are in administration, and a new buyer comes along surly that new company gets the whole allocation of sky money as the old agreement dies with OK Bulls icon_confused.gif

Quote: Adeybull "It is not the point of my post though.

I asked who the hell would pay good money to buy, and fund, the Bulls business (what is left of it) off the administrator, in the certain knowledge it was a Championship club in waiting he was buying? And would have to pour money in this year for...pretty well nothing whatsoever, really?

Just go buy a Championship club and put your money into THAT.

I hope the RFL have plans in place for a 13-team competition for SL 2014? Because I fear it will either be that, or Bulls putting boys out to be beaten up by big hard men every week, getting lower and lower on numbers till you are down to young teenagers.

Absent a Marwen, who the hell would want to put money into such a lost cause???

But never mind, at leats the other clubs can share out the REST of our SKy money between themsleves.'"

I'm not disputing that side of it. It would take a sugar daddy by the sounds of it.

I can't see how any of you can complain about the points deduction?! Rules are rules. Should you have been given a licence last time around? Answer - no

You will end up in the championship fighting for a place in the top four to play for 8 + 8+ 8 deal with it!

You do still however have more chance of playing in SL next season than Fev, Fax, Leigh, Sheffield or any other championship club!

It's not the fans or the players or the staffs fault so I feel for all. But the club unfortunately has to deal with the way it has being run over the last 5-6 years.

There are always consequences.

This smug "You should cut your cloth accordingly" sentiment keeps coming up but I do not see Wakefield or London doing something the Bulls haven't done over the last 2 years.

Cut costs? Done that

Cut back on staff? Done that both off and on the pitch.

So please, WHAT have Wakefield and London done differently?'"

To put it bluntly, cut costs to what we can afford. There are probably two things that are different:
1. Our costs weren't as high in the first place. The team matched more closely our budget and our expectations.
2. The director who stepped in two years ago isn't, by the sounds of it, asking for his money back. That is probably the fundamental difference.

Commit suicide by stripping all quality and playing kids. Admit defeat and close the doors. Nice choice no other team have made, they are all skating on the edge trying to survive this year, Broncos excepted, and see what happens next year. But hey we're down so keep kicking!

well its simple, wakefield and london seem to have cut costs to field a level of team they can afford wheras Bradford have made cuts but still cant afford what they have so more needs to be made.

Simples.

Agreed, now how much Sky money do Wakefield and London get.

If we were year 2 or 3 of a 5 year license, fully agree take the punishment in full and 2 years to rebuild, but with relegation, reduced funding and all the implications and, without a sugar daddy, no chance of achieving top flight football for a long time, great choices.

Really simple!

I'm sure if it happens to the model special measures club Rangers their fans will more than happily skip across town to Celtic.

It was just like that when Man City went into the bottom league, all their supporters started going to watch United every other week.

Let's cut to the chase, shall we?

The Sky monies confiscation - a sanction no other club committing an act of insolvency has ever had to face - has destroyed any realistic chance of anyone but a multi-millionaire saving this club.

I hope those responsible are happy with what they have done.

I am sick and tired of supporters of certain other clubs coming on here and lecturing us about cutting our cloth according to our yard, when our yard was and is very considerably shorter than theirs.

I didn't agree with Bradford losing half the Sky money, I felt it was hampering the club for a sustained period. But other clubs have slipped off the top flight radar as a result of directors mismanagement and I don't see why Bradford are a special case.

When supporters made snide comments about a well run club such as Featherstone struggling in Super League on gates of 2500, it doesn't reflect well on Bradford as a whole.

Failing a rich benefactor take your medicine if necessary field a team on a shoe string this year, spend as little as possible and regroup next year where in the Championship you will be one of the two best Sky funded teams.

If you cannot be competitive on the pitch take your medicine.

That said, good luck and hope something works out for you.

Well if it was smaller you just need to cut the cloth until it fits in the yard.
