Two important lessons can be learnt from this mess:
1) Don't spend more than you earn
2) If you do need help with cash flow timing - be very careful who you borrow from and be dam sure you can pay it back if the bloke you borrowed from has a baseball bat.

I fear Adey's attempts to find logical explanations for the actions of the last few year's will prove futile as it looks very much as if the BOD were flying by the seat of their pants most of the time, and as for Whitecut is he the only person the RFL have ever declared to not be suitable?

Wasn't Widnes's elevation to SL delayed for similar reasons?

Not even attempting to try and explain the actions of the last administration. Concluded ages ago that many were illogical and made little sense to me!

Not spinning anything. Just giving my take on what I see. I suspect some of that take may not be to the liking of the latest administration either, but so be it.

But, regarding your specific point from those statements, I am in violent agreement with you. Although Green's loan was taken out much later - when OK stepped down, and maybe plugged a gap when his funding came to a halt, I can only speculate? And the HMRC liability is likely to be far more recent even than that. But yes, time has showed what a joke those statements were. I did not post on here (or anywhere) from early April to late November. Maybe I had views about what I saw happening or being said?

Quote: Wooden Stand "There is a 6point penalty for going into Administration.'"

Presumably in your world the penalty for driving without due care and attention is 9 points? The fact that in real life the incident is objectively assessed and you may get anything between 3 and 9 points, or even no points at all, must really mess with your head. Everything is so black and white isn't it.

What is the penalty for posting on an internet forum without due care and attention?

As an outsider looking in (if its possible to see in through the murk and confusion) and trying to put aside the minute details (if that is possible).
At some point, hopefully before the season kicks off, the RFL will make some kind of decision about dealing with the situation.
What would be seen as fair by the Bulls supporters?
1. Expulsion from the league - that is what Wakey were threated would be the consequence of admin, the company owning the bulls went into admin prior to the takeover.
2. A 6 point deduction lowering to 4 if evidence of creditors being paid up is given.
3. A 4 point deduction.
4. No points deducted, as you have done nothing wrong.
Whatever the outcome this is another sorry day for the leadership of our game, our game and your club.
Before anyone suggests I'm crowing - as a supporter of Wakefield, we have little to crow about as we have been let down and been a let down to the game ourselves.
I think the devil is in the detail though on this one, so i guess it might all come down to the detail in the end.

The devil is in the detail there lies the problem. I've no idea if all the facts will ever come out so I've no idea what penalty if any the RFL might give or whether it's warranted or not.

We can speculate till the cows come home but at the end of the day we'll have to all accept the RFL's decision as we're unlikely to be privvy to the info that they have. As a result I've no idea what should happen to us or whether it's fair.

Obviously I hope for my club's sake it's nothing too bad but if we're deserving of a serious punishment then so be it. I do find the fact that followers of other clubs seem to be so much better informed and able to make such black and white judgements pretty funny though.

I can't speak for everyone but personally I can talk sense with normals such as yourself until the cows come home. Its rabid "Bradford should get 6 points" probably with "end of" tagged on as if to emphasize the biggotry that really get on my moobs.

I'll be perfectly honest I have severe doubts that your point 1 ever happened. Tricky this because I'm not accusing anyone of being dishonest. It feels like an understandable exaggeration made to you poor Wakey fans wondering what the hell is going on, and said in a bid to reinforce how close you came to oblivion. Perhaps a bit of white charger in there?

We can't really know what happened because the RFL are hardly like to call him out and say "er we said nothing of the sort" and nor is he going to say "Yeah I exaggerated a little bit but it seemed plausible at the time".

How about a brand new option of a 4 point deduction and full Sky money. Still up against it but not totally screwed over?

Christ Adey when I think about the web-toed people on these forums slapping the keyboard with their trotters wondering why their uncle is simultaneously their dad, it is clear that there is no penalty at all.

Probably an age thing in my case but I was under the impression that you suffered penalties on the internet [ifor[/i posting with due care and attention?

Hopefully technology will advance to the stage that if you say something on line which would have got you punched in the ancient "real world" then delicate parts of the anatomy will receive a shock from an I-pain unit. icon_twisted.gif

The lack of clarity and perception of un-fairness felt by many wakefield fans that are the main problems here.
I've seen the winding up petition dated the 16th of Jan 10:30 am against OK Bulls, i am also led to believe that the OK Bulls went into admin before the takeover by the new owners. On paper at least that look fairly obvious to me where the blame lies and that the RFL have rules in place to deal with that. I have asked our chairman to clarify what was told to us in relation to our problems earlier on and as yet i have had no feedback.
The problem with this, and with various other issues that have occured in recent years is that the RFL appear to act in a very cloak and dagger manner and this causes confusion and mistrust.
Where there is a info vaccuum, people make up what they want - but in some cases that is based on what is fairly obvious - but amid all the murk and confusion it all fades into one big pile of blurge!!!
I know what i can see, i don't know how accurate a reflection of what actually happened it is though, but i am left feeling uneasy not only by (and about) the RFL, but also how much of a fair game we are actually playing here.
I have a well used saying when anything about the leaders of our game comes to the surface and its based on years of feeling like a second class supporter of a second class club, but... "i am not paranoid BUT where the rfl are concerned, i do go and check that there isn't anyone hiding in the bushes at the bottom of the garden".
