Fair point. I’d forgotton that, I’ll claim recency bias as I just watched the programme this morning. Either way, apparently the money was there for Peacock and the club lied to him. I think, if you keep Peacock, you keep a few players as well. Sad to see. Either way, what a season.

| Didn’t we need Morley? A decision was made and we won the Grand Final. It seems like it worked?
I know it’s harsh but even though I feel sorry for Lynch. Morley did the job he was asked to do, and we won the GF.

| Part 2 was interesting. Makes sense when you think back to the teams form that year. The saints thumping at home and then Pryce having to go over there the day after ha ha ha.

| Interesting when you watch it back how much we didnt need to sign Harris.
We had Deacs, Robbie, Leon and even Pratt who could play in the havels.
Obviously all financial mess involved in the court case that screwed us. But the money he was on should have been used to keep Peacock and it would have lead to Leon playing 6 and staying as well.
That one signing completely ripped us apart from both a financial and playing side.
As big a sliding doors moment as you will ever seen in any sport.

Also, Leeds (in public anyway) we’re pushing the “first refusal” agenda. But what would have happened to Burrow and Maguire’s game time and development if they’d resigned Harris. Triple whammy. We didn’t need him. Leeds really didn’t need him. And we lost Pryce, Peacock and a pot load of cash

Disappointing from Noble saying the Pryce “if you need to go just go”. I would have liked him to put up a bit of a fight.

| Just watched parts 3 and 4 you can’t live in the past but you know. Bit galling really how the position the club was in was screwed up so badly.

| Overall, it was a great trip down memory lane. Would have been good to hear from a few more players like Les, Hape, Hendo or Lynch. It was really well produced by Sky and it was brilliant to see some of the old footage from that incredible run in 2005.
After finishing the final episode it makes our current position even more depressing.

| Fascinating. Noble was in charge of contract negotiations, not Caisley who was on the brink of standing down as well. Led to Robbie Paul telling him he'd lost the dressing room as Leon and Peacock were allowed to leave the club with Noble having either made little effort to keep them or in Peacock's case, offending him by lying. It's hard to accept how such a situation was allowed to happen. Within a few short months of the GF Noble and Fielden had also left.
Duffy now states that Iestyn wasn't on what was rumoured and other player were on similar. That's not what Hood regime and their friends came to this board with between 2007-2012. The take then was that the Harris deal and it's fallout was the reason the club was in financial decline and not the utterly dreadful recruitment.
Not sure Nobby would have enjoyed watching that.

| From that video, it sounds like the real downfall of the Bulls was down to Noble. Who’d have thought that?

It did feel like that was the underlying narrative. Brian Noble wanted to run the entire show. Coaching, contracts, player retention etc. The old spinning plates idiom comes to mind. All of Noble's plates came crashing down at once. Interesting comments from Duffy on Iestyn not being the only one on a sizeable contract at the the time. I assume Lesley, Fielden and Hape were all on something similar.

| I've had healthy mistrust of Noble since reading Peacock's autobiography. The stunts he pulled at the time must have been unsettling e.g. trying to swap Reardon, Langley and A.N.Other for Ellis without telling them he was going to try, sh4tting on Lynch to bring Morley in.. lord know's what else he did that hasn't come out.
The anger is still there in Peacock's voice and body language even after all these years.
