| Realistically do any of us think the team will improve, now EW has thrown in the towel?
They may take this as the kick up the backside that they need, i am hoping for a great game tomorrow not the usual dead rubber our matches with saints can be.

In the long term, no, because players with the talent and potential he has shown (admittedly not much of late) are thin on the ground, and we can't afford to buy one.
In the short term, if whoever plays in his position lets less people sing straight through a great hole down the middle, well, yes.

Aye that. You never know.

| People are congratulating Oliver on twitter, so it looks like he is definitely in the 17 for tomorrow.
I hope this isn't just a knee-jerk reaction to the whole Whitehead situation, if he comes on to play 2nd row tomorrow then he will be up against either Willie Manu or Sia Soliola - both of those guys are a handful for even the most experienced second rowers to deal with, my worry is that they will just smash him to pieces and it could actually do more harm than good rushing him into the first team this way.
Obviously FC is a better judge than I am, so we'll just have to see how it goes.

| As a Saints fan, I'm expecting a win this week as opposed to the hoping for the win. Our basic problem still exists with no 6 or 7. But hopefully GOB can provide a bit more than he did with 3 days prep against Huddersfield.
It also seems that we are sacrificing Lomax FB role, to play him at 6. However given Bradfords injuries if we did not win this one. Then Brown will start to get fans on his back and the bookies in Bradford will take a hammering.

Agreed. Playing against U19 second row is very different to playing against a full grown former New Zealand international. I hope he does well though. Maybe FC's hand has been forced as maybe Bateman hasn't recovered from his dead leg.

| 2 pens 2 tries. Sounds like we're falling off tackles again. Saints dropping ball for fun and we don't sound like we putting any pressure on.

| We arnt ats making several plus mtres each ptb and we are going to high in the tackle again either dropping off or gettin held away so ats can offload, we have to improve our technique are this season is going to slip away from us.

Spot on. Can't get over how often Saints are dropping the ball, yet we're not doing anything with it.
