| Quote Bullseye="Bullseye"So much of this doesn't add up.
Mick goes on about this bidder being backed by Green yet the T&A say it's the New Zealand group headed by Chalmers who made a late bid after the administrator's deadline. Frank reckons the bid has been on the table from day 1 - so not Chalmers then?
Someone's got their facts mixed up somewhere and it's probably me.
Anyway. The quote from the administrator about redundancy isn't good at all. That sounds like things have reached an impasse.
Wonder if Lamb or Irvine will come into the picture again?
Meanwhile it's likely we'll start to lose staff and players the longer this wears on as there won't be money to pay them.
'"
I think we can rule out Green. It has come from one person who is well known for making stuff up in fantasy land. Sadly a few have believed him. The RFL wouldn't be sat down at the table talking of selling the lease to the man who has just put us in admin.
If it is Chalmers & Lowe, then they must have some sort of financial backing if they are going to develop Odsal (which Frank seems certain of)
I don't think we'll get an answer today.

| The RFL want to promote the game, the RFL want to help the club, the RFL want the wembley of the north, so sell the lease and you get it all!

Sadly, El Red seems like one of those few posters who is absolutely loving the fact we're in trouble and get's positively giddy and rubs our noses in it when it starts to look really bad.

| We may hope for the best, but in a year that saw Brexit, Trump and the death of David Bowie, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Peter Vaughan, Andrew Sachs, Robert Vaughn, Leonard Cohen, Pete Burns, Jean Alexander, Gene Wilder, Caroline Aherne, Muhammad Ali, Carla Lane, Prince, Victoria Wood, David Gest, Denise Robertson, Ronnie Corbett, Paul Daniels, Tony Warren, Frank Kelly, Sir Terry Wogan, Alan Rickman…how likely is that?!

| Didn't somebody say that they saw Koukash with Chalmers and Lowe? Somebody with some money must be backing the bid.

Probably not but depends on the length of the lease and how much money I had.

Agreed Bullseye. I do hope that Frank's version is nearest to the truth. He's been accurate in the past, most recently on the appointment of Rohan Smith. Nobody else saw that coming.
I recall that the T and A has identified Irvine and Roberts as the chosen ones in the past few weeks. It's now saying Chalmers. So that paper's track record is not 100%.
Whoever is in that room with the RFL must be offering something worth consideration by the RFL. Otherwise they would not have entered a 3rd day of negotiations.
Surely it's not beyond the wit of the parties to find a solution to the lease which is beneficial to all. That could mean the RFL keeping an interest / share of whatever future development may happen.
As Early Bath has said , some common sense is needed as people's livelihoods are at risk .
It's imperative that the players and staff are told today what is happening - before the media and before the fans.
I think we all need another optimistic post from Frank........

When you have a 100+ year lease the difference is semantic, to be honest, as none of it is likely to be still here when the lease expires.

I get the feeling that the T&A get their info from the same sources as Mick so there's a lot of confusion flying around.
I expect the likes of Lamb and Irvine haven't been quiet either and will have been in touch with journos so you have to factor in their motivations too.
