This hasn't just come from Elliott.
Both Heath L'Estrange and Matty Blythe have made comments on twitter to suggest that they weren't paid on the 28th. What's odd is that nobody else did anything of the sort, unlike last time when quite a few commented on it (Bateman in particular).
Heath tweeted something about 'Deja vu' on the 28th, then posted a little quip about communication being the key to respect. Yesterday when the Gaskell signing was announced he asked Ross if there was any other important news to report (no reply from Ross).
Matty Blythe posted a definition of 'professionalism' on the 28th but hasn't really said anything about it since.
Here's a tweet from Jamie Foster earlier this morning:
Jamie foster @jamiefoster22 3h
@mattyblythe88 after his wages on the 8th.
It's not clear if Jamie means 8th September or 8th August. I think last month's deferred wages were paid on or around the 5th August, but the 8th September is a Sunday so neither situation makes much sense.
I'm wondering if the players were expecting their wages on the 28th and the club have just worked it as one month from when they were last paid, which would be early September. Not very nice if that is the case, but better than not being paid at all I suppose.
The club also responses to silsdenbull's tweet by telling him not to believe every unfounded rumour he hears.
