Seems a left field comment roger, you heard something?

No nothing, I just think Jamie Thackrey was hell of a lot better than Johnnie Walker for London last season. Very surprised to hear we have signed him

| Walker is definately more aggressive than any of the current props so let's hope he's a good signing, he's a local lad so be nice for him to succeed

| sorry I wasn't more forthcoming but get a bit of decent info off the guy I get bits off so didn't want to put it out there. Was only a matter of time before you found out with your contacts though roger!!!!
Anyhow think it could potentially be a good signing if he is in the right place, plus after watching the highlights video of Mitch Clark he had a lot of back row shirts on so could we see him at 13 if Danny addy permanently resides in the halves?
Interesting to see ihow it will pan out with the props

Walker was way down the list of props at Leigh. That said, he got very limited opportunities in the first team, despite being a squad member. (heard that one anywhere before?! )

Whatever happened to them two...?

| Think its positive to keep Chev around the place. He has been heavily involved with the first team this year whilst injured so seems an obvious choice.
Plus anyone who has met him knows he has that spark about him that makes you want to do well. He's had it since he was in junior rugby and I'm sure it will serve him well, particularly with some of the younger lads in the squad.

| Walker Walker everywhere. And we're now back to 7 props, which I feel is a good number. At least 2 established props in the team with 2 spaces for the other 5 to fight for. Or in Lowes case it'll be Sidlow, Clough, Lauaki and Crossley every week with Sidlow and Clough getting through far too much work and losing their effectiveness later in the season whilst the rotation props come on, plod around for 15 minutes then get subbed sucking down wind.

| Don't know much about him either but it's another signing from the Championship. I appreciate gems can be found who can step up to SL level but have we really unearthed 3?
We haven't signed anyone who I would consider able to lift us closer to SL sides. I appreciate he's played some SL but not recently and he doesn't appear to have set the world alight for Leigh or whilst on loan. He has a bit to prove, let's hope he does that for us.
Perhaps the players either aren't available or just aren't interested in signing. Guess we will have to see what the squad looks like once our dealings are complete. I'd rather we had added 2 good players than 4/5 average ones though.

It's more than likely this who wants to waste 7 months in the championship. Come June time you might pick some players up once they realise not getting much super league time.

Perhaps so but the gamble being whether the players in the positions we need become available at the right time. Though I'd rather this than spending money now on players who aren't good enough just to make up the squad.

I agree, but I think Walker and Clark, while no world beaters are better than Crossley and Lauaki.
Walker certainly got size and is a mongrel who could upset the opposition which is what we're crying out for. We have plenty of work horses. Probably last chance saloon for him as well. Had a few clubs, 1 year deal, if he doesn't perform he's unlikely to find another FT club.
7 is crucial to sort. Think the problem we have though is that this year we shipped a load out on loan to bring in some fresh faces at June time. I don't think we could afford to do that this year. Do we wait and hope the right HB comes a long. Or do we sign someone now and risk getting another Siejka and having no financial clout to bring someone in come the middles. Kyle Wood would be a good signing for me and all the weaknesses we've all pointed out would have been improved upon. No world beaters, but all improvements and more crucially we have kept hold of our gems in Sidlow, Gaskell, Mullaney and O'brien.
