I have two points to make on this as i see fit...
Danny Mcguire has improved considerably in past few years and is now more than a try scoring machine but he has no kicking game, and his passing game is not upto scratch. Chase creates as many as he scores which is why i would class him as better than mcguire. Not to say that I do not rate Mcguire but he would not have got in side above Eastmond and tomkins nationally and was not long back shunned for richie myler.
Brett Finch ...... world class? He is a grafter,good all round game and will always give 100% but to be world class i think is jumping on the aussie coming to England must be better than what we have train again!!
I think Half backs need to have a little of everything in their game but most importantly organising and creativity for those around them. Kicking game at least pref long and short, passing again long and short, guile, instinct, cheek, irritability factor and patience.
I look for more than ability to go themselves,pace and support play. Hey ho but that is personal opinion


Oh and it is ok pointing out ennis,farrah and gidley but Berrigan played centre when he did play for oz. Berro is a better hooker than ennis mind, love ennis but he is just confrontational and nothing special.

Eastwood didn't play in May for NZ against Oz.

The point of them having world class players in front of them is a fairytale nonsense as is their club of choice not influencing the selectors.

Barrett played rep football for NSW.

Peletua would arguably still be in the NZ side given the injuries in the pack.

Matt King would be a shoe in with Oz backs injury list and was picked frequently prior to coming to SL

Same with Berrigan. Far better than those names you mention.

Richards again, for me, should walk into the current Oz side.

Eastwood was injured in May. NZ played Aus on the 7th, Eastwood didnt make his return for Leeds until the 14th.

Barret didnt play for Australia - NSW has no relevance
