Wasn't it just? Glad you concur how childish this pantomime "oh no he didn't" nonsense looks.
Quote: Gurus_Beard "What was your point/view about Rangi Chase by the way?'"
Much better than anything we have to run with at the moment, but not the "world class" some seem to be saying. No disrespect to Cas (a club I respect more than most), but he would hardly be there if he was. Be happy with him in the team, but doubt he'll be going anywhere except maybe to Saints.

Not those with eyes.
Or with ability to see just how much he contributes to their side and to SL in general. Or ask Cas fans. Or Terry Matterson. Or most SL coaches.

| He's a good SL halfback. He'd walk into the Bulls side.
World class though? BTW by world class I mean would look good on the test stage for NZ or Australia in a proper test match.
I'm not sure Chase is all that yet.

He's 24 and not too far away. Given his selection for NZ Maori recently and the reluctance of the NZRL to pick any UK based players except Tommy it's a clear indication of his pedigree.
He would walk into any SL side. If we signed him tomorrow there would be jizz rags aplenty from the keyboard gangsters.

| I'm not denying he's a good player. But he's not world class. If he was world class then he'd have been partnering Benji in the final.
International teams dont ignore world class players because of where they play.

Yeah that's right. Jamie Lyon played for Oz frequently at Saints.
Greg Eastwood likewise at Leeds.
And Trent Barrett at Wigan.
And Tony Peletua.
And Matt King.
And Shaun Berrigan.
And Pat Richards.

Aye, and Eddie is hinting at it too. And, as we all know:

| I would argue that if Chase was World Class then he would not have left to come over here to play for Castleford and he would be plying his trade in the NRL.
Still, have to laugh at some of the contributions on here, especially the pearler from Aaronbull that Chase is "miles miles miles better than McGuire." That is just laughable and a great example of an "anti-Leeds bias" if ever I saw one.

Being right once may be a start.
Eastwood is back in the NZ side.
Barrett went back to rep football.
Peletua would be a shoe in if he played in the NRL.
And Matt King (since he was previously)
And Shaun Berrigan (since he was previously)
I know, I'm right again.
And Pat Richards

You don't rate Man of Steel, Pat Richards?
Have you seen a game of rugby league? Or are you one of those Union people?

Eastwood would have been in the NZ if he still played for Leeds
Barret never played international ever again
Puletua hasnt played for NZ since 2005
Matt King would have been well down the pecking order with the emergence of vastly more talented players such as Jarryd Hayne, Darius Boyd, Josh and Brett Morris
Shaun Berrigan, well see above but Farah, Ennis, Kurt Gidley
Richards has never had a look in for Aussie, even before he came here.
