| Quote Highlander="Highlander"My only counter to that is that Nigel has hung what remains of his reputation on that appointment of MD and has no option other than to back him to the hilt.'" Getting backed by Wood will have no impact on how Dunning is seen in the players eyes. It's will probably keep him in the job longer than it possibly should but as for the players he doesn't have the status unless we suddenly start winning every week.

| Frankly, I’m past caring enough to go through the list. I can think of only a handful of players I would be disappointed to see go. Doyle being top of the list and he will be off to a SL club after this season.
I’d like to say we might hear some honest communication on Thursday but I expect most of the time will be taken up by trivial questions hand picked by the club and sent in by the rose tinted brigade. It’s due to start at 8.15, will probably be late starting and wrapped up by no later than 9.30 due to some pressing engagement with the panel blah blah blah. I’m just about at the point where I am looking to cancel my Bullbuilder contributions and cut ties completely and focus my free time on something else. I can’t even get enthused to watch SL matches, the quality of entertainment across the sport must be at an all time low.

The exceptions to that will be the relatively new players who have maintained their professionalism (admittedly a small number) and any current players who have been coached by Dunning & Beattie in our academy - old habits die hard in that case.

| It’s been about 5 years since I watched an SL game on sky all the way through. I sometimes put it on, but invariably I decide I can’t be bothered watching as it’s boring or poor skills or both

| I think we should send Patton to train with Leeds and get him back into shape (though it's all gone quiet on our 'Special buddies' relationship recently) when he decides he wants to play the difference is day and night.
Amateur Tuesday and Thursday training session don't work for most of our comfort eaters....

| If you wanted to plot how to ruin professional RL in Bradford you couldn't have put together a better plan than what's unfolded over the past 10 years. We've had plenty of bad/misguided owners along the way but a common denominator is the current owner who's had a say in a lot of the things that have got us where we are now. I fear the club will only properly recover when his malign influence is no more and that may mean starting from scratch all over again.

| What's clear is that Nige's had a cunning plan all along but his ambition outweighed his talent and it was beyond him to execute it even though they're still talking about a stadium fit for the 21st Century...
All that leaves us with is missed opportunities (Koukash, Thorpe) and something so toxic that only a fan who's won the Euromillions would even countenance taking it on.
A mate who worked in the game is upbeat that the IMG input will level the game far more that we see now but I am afraid we are so far below the level that full amateur beckons, playing out of Peel Park whilst someone gets paid a mint for using the dump for inert landfill

This. I don't see any way out of our current struggles because they are so intractable and a direct result of events between the secret loan, the sale of the lease and the bizarre choice of owners. Talking about who goes or stays is like discussing what colour to paint the toilets.

| For those saying it's the worst squad they've ever seen. Last year we literally threw away third spot. We only really lost Pickersgill who we would have liked to keep. Brough retired but also missed a large chunk of the season and I think Patton has replaced him well enough.
However the players are no where near good enough to turn up with half d attitudes and pathetic off-field diets. We can sign who we want but if they all turn up in the physical condition half our squad is in, it's all irrelevant.
Dunning talked about those wanting to play for Bradford Bulls. It shouldn't be about that, it should be who want play for Bradford Bulls that have strict standards in play and are prepared to keep to this standards off the field.

I don't quite buy that. I can't see any scenario where either Nigel or the RFL would gain any benefit from holding a lease on a site owned by CBMDC. The idea that £700k buys you the Odsal site is implausible. A more likely scenario for me is that Wood and co bought into the Caisley conspiracy stories being peddled (on here by the club) at the time and wanted to help Hood. By the time they realised Hood could never pay them back and the loan would become public and disastrous PR, they made what must go down as one of the most terrible decisions in the history of the British game. That neither party insisted on a EGM of the shareholders tells you everything you need to know. The 'saving the iconic Odsal stadium from predators' story should have seen the wider game call for clear out at the top of the RFL.
Why he has maintained an interest and returned to the scene of British RL's greatest disaster only he knows.
