Well it was a pretty terrible investment by the RFL if it’s lost over 45% of its value in 6 years and raised questions about why they paid what they did for it in the first place. MC has said he would pay more than 750k for it so that suggests it is worth more than that amount

I agree with you that them buying it was one of the worst decisions under Woods leadership (and there's plenty to choose from) we didn't benefit it as it's effectively what sent us into Admin1.

I agree that it shouldn't be sold at a cut price (although i don't think the RFL will ever get what they paid for it) i also don't think it should be sold to other club owners at any price. As others have said, it's a conflict of interest.

Just in case people have forgotten how the RFL obtained the lease in the first place.

My guess is he doesn’t want to buy it, it is just a way of raising the issue, so as to highlight the significant drop in value in 6 years and perhaps make it necessary for the RFL to justify the write down, before being able to sell at the lower figure.

MC has said he sees it as an investment opportunity- make of that what you will. FWIW he was going to buy BV for GBP 600k but was told not to by WDMC and YorkCourt as they wanted a clear path

Loan was less than purchase price of odsal as they withheld the loan amount, to repay loan in full, when they bought odsal, which combined with bank taking rest of odsal money to settle overdraft caused admin 1.
