There will be some form of contract between Toovey and the club regardless of visa situation. It's usual practice for a contract to be signed before sponsorship for a visa is sort. As such IF Toovey becomes Leeds coach, Bradford are entitled to some form of compensation |

As a Club we are not running on all cylinders, so as a team we cannot fire on all cylinders.With problems re visa and banking difficulties, it's a wonder we were allowed to start at all in this division.Seems to be taking an age this.

Shouldn't take longer than 30 days after the initial application. 60 days in exceptional circumstances.
Phoenix was reported as signed on 8 February. 40 days ago.
Toovey was announced on 20 January. 49 days ago.
HOWEVER this guidance assumes the employer is a registered sponsor. As the old club was liquidated I expect it's had to re-apply to become a sponsor.
If that's the case it needs a bank account. Has the club got one yet? If not they won't be able to apply to become a sponsor.

How hard can it be to get a bank account? I know we may be a risky proposition. Any accountants out there?

It's definitely harder than it was.
There are so many checks to do with money laundering, and having good references. Assuming their were no problems with our owners' previous accounts, either abroad or here, then it shouldn't really be that big a big problem, maybe just a long winded one. |
