Well, yeah he could. The problem is that the more you go down the ability chain, the more there are of that standard. Very few 'world class' players but hundreds, if not thousands, of 'nearly but not quites'. And worse, If we're fishing from youtube it's a very murky pond.

I think we'll all agree that Marc Herbert wasn't of the suitable YouTube quality that he was signed on.

Signing players from YouTube clips isn't going to help shift the 5000 season membership sales though.

Reading the match report, Rhys' brother played half back and scored a hat trick whereas Rhys played at 9. If he has been signed as a back up 9 who can play 7 when our yet to be announced 7 needs a rest then fine, if he's signed to be starting 7 then Im less sure, Id give him a chance but our recent record at picking up undiscovered gems from the lower reaches in Oz is not good, and I'd prefer to pick a more proven option (with some of the cap money we've splashed on the back row) or loan a younger up and coming fringe player from a super league squad for the season, but we'll see I guess.

It's being announced in the morning, today. I've spoke to numerous players agents and the feedback has been positive.

Only problem is that the club need to get the departures of Clough, Nielsen and Ryan announced (see the Marc Green thread) asap.

There's been no rumours around Clough, though if he was to leave, he's under contract so we'd be getting a fee there. Nielsen, I think many of us have accepted that he's leaving as he seems to be pulling a move out of Matt Orford's playbook. So that leaves us with Ryan, who was only contracted until the end of the season so his leaving isn't some big shock as many just assumed he's already left. Especially given the way we've already recruited his replacement.
