It's a long launch!

Think I'll pop down around the time the away shirt is shown off, but there's no way I'm staying all afternoon!

Chev Walker is Jimmy's man for the job.

Well that's certainly out of left field. Wouldn't have thought walker was even guaranteed a spot every week tbh.

That's my only negative too, to be honest. It'll be interesting to know who the vice is.

I can just about stomach Walker being used as a prop, but he should not be anywhere near the starting 17 as a 2nd rower, loose forward or - god forbid - a centre.

Every year Walker has been at the club I've expected him to only be used as a backup, and every year he's ended up playing almost every game. I suppose it was silly of me to think that this year would be any different.

I didn't realise we had announced team for Leigh away aswell

I expect Walker to figure in the backrow most weeks then by the sound of it.

There's a lot of competition for places there. We need a few old heads on the field. I can see the rationale. I just wonder if he'll be good enough to warrant a place in the 13 every week on merit.

Not for me (see page 2), picking Chev seemed a fairly logical choice IMO. I think he'll represent the club well both on and off the pitch.

Chev is being judged by his performance in SL - different situation and league so I will trust Jimmy's judgement on this
