The PDF for the 1863 Club details says that ALL memberships are part of the 1863 members club, from baby to Premier Club.

For Premier Club what you get over and above other categories is
(a) a seat in the central "black" section;
(b) entry to the Premier Club bar behind the stand
(c) in 2015 I am told ONLY Premier Club members can buy a car parking pass for inside the ground (£50)

If it costs more to do then they're passing that cost on. Another sign it's been run as a business.

Why is it so hard?

It's a bit of a shame. There is a fair bit of interest now but if you were spurred on to click into the site, order a season ticket and set up a DD, you can't. Or if you can, I can't find it.

Sure you can ring up, or go in person, but we've missed a trick by not having the web commerce side of it set up properly, and the whole thing has a very disjointed feel about it, with much information hard to find, and in different places.

I hate to be in any way knocking my club, but I do hope they are at least aware of the issues committed fans are reporting, and that their web people are going to get it sorted urgently. Though it's disappointing they already didn't.

Any confirmation on students being classed as 'concessions'?

I hit my dreaded 60th birthday in August.........Arrggghhh.......still I consoled myself that I'd qualify for the concessionary rate for my Premier club season ticket. WRONG, it appears I have to wait an extra 5 years AND pay even more than I did l last year. Oh woe is me.......

Nothing specific to students, IIRC they said so last night. The assumption seems to be that the age gradations will catch most of them.

In order to be able to see both goal lines at the same time, that most unique of British RL viewing experiences, it will cost you £20.

To be honest, they'll be plenty of room on side so you won't have to stand behind goals.
