Two good reasons not to sign him. I guess he wouldn't be cheap.

He is from Bradford. My son went to school with him

| "In the case of Walker, he has also rejected a new contract, with the club having invoked RFL regulations which stipulate any club acquiring his services pay a compensation fee equivalent to the six years’ development the club have put into him."
Some kind of swap deal for Kopczak maybe?

Kopout's been at the Bulls for nearly 10 years by my reckoning. Should be a decent fee from him at the end of the protracted legal wrangling that's bound to take place.

| If i recall walker was on our scholarship along with his brother jonathan now at cas.
Adams a good grafter, i would enquire about doing a deal involving patrick first if not walker and cash would do.

kopczak is over 24 so we dont get the automatic fee for developing him. Any transfer fee would be dependent on proving an illegal approach. Seem to remember that when wakey got done for approaching robinson they got a points deduction and wigan got nothing, although in that case the transfer never actually happened. Be surprised if we see any money from this as kopczak was perfectly entitled to refuse the transfer of his contract. Only dodgy bit is whether he was approached by another club whilst under contract and proving that.

I don't know how true it is, but a friend of mine seems to think that we'll lose a minimum of two players from our quota, with the number more likely to be three. He also says that we have a VERY exciting replacement already lined up for one of these players. If he's as in the know as he makes out, it would really show that OK means business.

| My understanding is that we have 4 overseas players on contract-- Kearney L'estrange Lulia and Purtell. There is one more place for next year and everyone has been assuming that Cummins would opt for Manokafoa over Sammut (whose Crusaders exemption has expired). To lose 2 let alone 3 of BK HL Manuo or KL would I think be a massive setback. I know there's not much room for sentiment but if AP is given the all clear then he should be kept.
Personally I'd hope that beefy 1's friend is wrong as I would hate to lose a significant part of what Tasker has called the core of the team ----however exciting the sole replacement might be

They were both dropped when we signed the Burgess's because they were the better prospect according to our staff at the time.

Could maybe see an argument for losing kearney and l'estrange with kear and o'brien taking their positions from within existing squad. Third one could be purtell depending on his fitness. would hate to lose any of them so hope its just a rumour. Also is he including manuokafoa and sammut in our quota players in which case they could be part of the 2-3 going.
Given hull deal seems to have fallen through could exciting player lined up be chase? would slot in nicely alongside gale, assuming he could calm down off the pitch. Cant see OK paying the sort off money cas will want though.
