i have no issue with the players been paid. They deserve it after the way they have performed throughout this whole shambles.

But these players are supposed to be paid by their employers - Bradford.

And their employers are effectivley relying on an advance payment from the RFL so they can do this.

the 'underperformance' i was hinting at was not by the players, it was by Bradford as a club. The missmanagment that has got the club into this mess doesn't warrant handouts and favours.

This is why i dont believe that the RFL should help Bradford in ways they most likely wouldnt help other clubs in the same situation.

i took your advice and rang my local college to see if i could enroll on an English course.

However due to 'government funding' and cutbacks i was unable to get a place.

Shame.

I have an opinion, as you do. And i come on here because i find debating our great game of Rugby League enjoyable. I do not come on to wind people up or to have vendettas or hold grudges.

I also have alot of Bradford 'fan' freinds believe it or not. Admittedly most were Fax fans before they jumped ship to watch Bullman and Bullgirl. But thats a whole other story.

I also have these same debates in the pub on a weekly basis.

I know some Halifax fans who were full of sympathy when it looked like we were done for but turned into little spouts of hate when it dawned on them they might not get the pay off they were after all along.

They ARE being paid by their employers or rather the administrator who's taken over the running of the club. Bradford are not alone in getting an advance on Sky money. Many SL clubs have done this in the past and no doubt will do it again in the future. It's money the club is due, they're just asking for it early. So, saying the RFL wouldn't help other clubs in the same situation shows how little you actual know.

We have this forum to read issues, have a bit of banter, make comment all about our great game. We have a great sport overseen by what I thought was a governing body which would take the sport forward to be enjoyed on a global stage (RFL Decision). This idea of a global stage ok, was not everybodies cup of tea but we run with it even though expansion has been painfull to some. What we have now though is the RFL, rightly so I suppose trying to help one of the long standing clubs along the M62 corridoor but what they are also doing now though IN MY OPINION is making decisions that are favouring some clubs and not others. I thought the governing bodies responcibility was to look after all its members! If I was a shareholder I think I would seriously thinking about calling for a vote of no confidence. My thoughts are not just based on the Bradford issue but it seems the whole licensing issue, franshising, how many teams in superleague etc etc. All this is making the RFL look a little bit silly. Thank god they are not running the country.
