Don't think its a question of can Langley operate at prop?I like others believe he can. The question is how many games will he play in 2012? Probably not enough to be the replacement we need for Lynch..There-fore we need a replacement bringing in, hopefully one with some real quality and a a bit of mongrel..

I suppose the other option is to utilise Elima at Prop if/when Langley gets injured. If we intend using Walker in the 2nd row for 2012.

Can't quite get my head around that "on the overseas quota" bit. the BBC article covering his signing for crusaders says that he has an EU passport, in which case he cannot be overseas, and now he is a Fed trained so off both quotas. so yes we can sign a Kolpak or EU nonfed player now, or an overseas nonfed player when BJ gets his passport.

Just pretty much typed what was in the article, not sure how accurate it is. The quota rules blag my head a bit, I think even the RFL make it up as they go.

Doesn't sound correct about sammut staying on overseas quota. He wasn't on it to start with. Think LE may have got it wrong and meant to put he will revert to non fed when his dispensation expires. If he is now on overseas quota then we have six players on quota til bjs passport arrives

It stated that our quota players for next year would be Kearney, L'Estrange, Purtell, Lulia and Sammut with the club confident that BJ will soon obtain an English passport to take him off quota. With the exception of Sammut the other 4 above will also count as non-fed which would leave us with one non-fed spot left.

well sammut didnt count on overseas quota for crusaders due to his maltese passport so dont see why he should count on ours.

I'm pretty certain it was stated when we signed him that he didnt count on overseas quota and only on non-fed pending clarification as to whether he qualified for dispensation. Cant find any mention of it in any online articles though. If he is on the quota now then we won't be able to register one off sammut,purtell or lulia until jeffries passport comes through ( assuming jeffries, kearney and l'estrange are all already registered for duration of their contracts.)

I thought that but someone checked with duffy a few weeks back and lulia doesnt have a cook islands passport so isnt covered by contanou agreement
