As long as the terms made sense, especially in terms of tying up cap space and if the Lynch story pans out as I suspect most folk now anticipate, I could see little but positives in say a 12m deal.

Get him signed up, if he played 15-20 games i'd be happy. He might be 35 but he is still quality, and he loves Bradford. Play him at Loose with Elima and Langley in the 2nd row. He would be a great mentor for Bateman, Addy, Donaldson, Whitehead and Olbison. I would also have him as Assistant to Potter if Cummins goes.

You obviously know the value of his package then - so care to share it with us so we can judge a bit more objectively?

Remember too that you have to reduce our salary cap by £50k if Langley was to go, so £50k of his package has no bearing on the salary cap. But you knew that, obviously.

Same way that you knew that the compo we would have to pay him would be spread across the salary cap years remaining on his contract, so THAT element of his package has no bearing on the salary cap either - except we would of course lose a chunk of our salary cap AND NO player.

But you must nevertheless know he gets paid so much and is so totally useless that these would be small prices to pay?
