As for Dave Halley his contract was up at the end of this season, and a mutual agreement was made to let him go early so he could play for another club. I seriously doubt that Michael Platt is going to walk away from another two years of his contract just because you think he's crap.

and my opionion is if we want to be better than 9th/10th placed in the table we need better than crookes,donaldson,herbert etc etc, who at best are very very mediocre players

I think you are being harsh on him. He was offered scholorships by every big name in Super League, we beat them all to his signature and we should be delighted we did. As has been said he's coming back from a horrendous injury which affected his pre-season build up.

Getting rid of Donaldson would lead to me calling for the Board and Potter to be sectioned en masse. It would also make whichever SL side he chose a stronger one.....the more I think about it the more I think you're winding us up, I'm now cross with myself for biting.

I'm all for getting rid provided we can actually get players who are better quality. Replacing like with like doesn't work as we've seen the past few years.

When have we done like with like? We have done like with inferior. Burgess with Sculthorpe. Deacon with Orford. Menzies with Sibbit. Etc. Ad infinitum.

Ah, so you want your own "I can slag the Bulls past and present players off one by one" thread. I see. But (and if you have working braincells you know this) Clarke's opinion was cited not as being true, or fact, but to underline how ludicrous your idea was to "get rid" of a player who, however much Clarke may or may not have hyped him, has had general high praise all round from a number of very well respected commentators.

I'm not saying you aren't entitled to your own opinion of Donaldson, I'm just telling you it's a barking opinion.
