Am I cracking up or was Reardon fairly blameless on Saturday? Getting some hammer on here regardless. I love Beaver but if anyone else had blown that 2 on 1 there'd be murder on here.

Poor in defence again imo, and didn't really offer much in attack (although good work for his try).

I just think that in the first place, it should have been him dropped over Sheriffe.

Can I ask when you're referring to?

Because the only times I saw him caught out was when he was once again trying to cover 2 blokes on his own because the defensive line hadn't moved across properly.

He still did a bad job at the attempts, and he needs to be screaming at the players to slide along.

Maybe it's just me, but I do seem to remember him being caught out on several occasions, although with the way Dobson was getting the ball out to the wings I suppose it can be forgiven.

ATEOTD, I still think if we're playing Reardon it should be at full-back, he's not a winger.

I'd probably play him at full-back with Kearney at 7 vs Catalans.

To be quite honest, I think he's being used a scapegoat for our general sliding defence problems. We are caught on overlaps far too often, and when we are, the winger gets the blame for not covering his opposite man. The fact he's covering the centre and often the halfback/back rower too is ignored.

That being said, I would try Reardon at fullback too. Mainly because I feel too often, he seems happy to just sit on the wing and stay there, regardless of what happens. Being at fullback would force him to be more involved.

It's still his best position and seen as its nearly certain we'll move our first chioce into the halves, then I think now is his chance to stake his claim for both the no 1 spot for the remaining games and for a new contract (although thats unlikely now imo)

I simply don't get all the fuss.

Reardon has been bobbins all season. I have seen nothing in any game to merit his inclusion.

I agree he's been poor. But was just reinforcing af's point about him getting blamed for things that really had nothing to do with him and getting slated even when he isn't actually THAT bad.

He hasn't done nearly enough to warrant a new contract though imo, regardless of what position he's playing in.

Playing Reardon on the wing is the SL equivalent of the skinny, speccy geek on the wing at school.
