Well, we were always accused of being `glory fans` a few years back, which looking at current attendances would now seem to have been a fair criticism of a good few back then. This does affect every club in every sport though, and I don`t think there is any club in any league, anywhere that this doesn`t apply to; the better the results, generally the better the `support`.

It has always has been easier to support success rather than failure and I guess that everyone has a lower limit, beyond which they feel they can no longer support a club, which is fair enough and I won`t criticise anyone for making whatever decision they feel is right for them; you pay your brass and you take your pick.

I guess we all sometimes feel we know better than the professionals, even though we often have little background knowledge of what is going on within the club (rumours on here don`t count, btw wink:) and only a basic idea of the game at an amateur level.

If you are amongst those I describe, then I'd agree. I've said for a while that times like these sort out the supporters from the fans, and I agree with that being the difference.

We we discussing the rumoured protest, which no one seems to know about.

I think people need to be mindful that a good proportion of "join the protest" or "boycott the games" posts - anywhere - are started by [iagents provocateur[/i who do not wish their target well. There are one or two of those infecting the T&A site who maybe are banned from on here.

Judging by the replies on here though, most posters are too wise - and too committed to being a supporter despite the rubbish performances we have seen - to get suckered in.

Anyone who does feel the need to protest - I'm sure that you'll be putting forward practicable alternatives that the club would want to listen to, rather than just letting off steam and having a paddy to make yourself feel better ? Although it may be more productive if you instead approached the club more formally with your proposals? And I'm not trying to be clever - I'm dead serious. I'm sure the club would find it hard not to listen to - and indeed would (or should!) appreciate - constructive input.

May I suggest if you get some time on your hands, you look at installing some form of spell checker.
