Personally prefer us to give horton a shot, but we'd probably need to give him a run this year and see how he goes at first team level, as its a bit too much off a risk imo to go into a fresh season depending on a reserve level player to make the step up to a key position. Can't really say I'm too keen on prospect of Wagga as first choice hooker. If we could retain rinaldi and use him as first choice with wagga and horton used in games as appropriate then that might be the way to go. (would also give us some cover in halves with rinaldi).'" Yeah Medley said that although Horton looks great running from dummy half his defence needs to improve.
IMO any hooker replacement for Newton needs to be a proven player. Most clubs seem to use two hookers so we need at least one top notch one. Godwin is ok but never going to be top class.
