| Bryn Hargreaves looks like he may be available next year as well.
What a coup if the Bulls could sign Hargreaves, Scruton and Burgess - a future awesome foursome alongside Sam/Lynch?

not much use if backs behind them arent upto standard though.

Hargreaves only looks good in a class team. Think he would return back to his poor form shown at Wigan if he came to us.

Or, more likely, fitness is not in reality an issue, and tedious comments by the odd self-appointed anonymous expert on some BB are whatever 100 levels underneath "totally ignored" might be.

We dont need another 7, but Jamie Rooney would be an ideal partner for Deacon.

What about a class full back and a class stand-off?

| Quote tallon2006="tallon2006"Will be really vexed off if we go and sign Rooney, he's not the type of player we need in my opinion. I'm not on the 'get Macca out' bandwagon but this off season could go a long way towards deciding how long he stays. If we have to go through another off season watch Bradford signing average players while other clubs recruit will I think his time maybe up. I can understand Rooney as a temporary signing if Deacon is out for the rest of the season and we can sign him immediately but having Rooney and Jeffries here is a silly option. We need to stop signing players from clubs like Wakefield before we end up in the bottom half with Wakefield.'"
Classic statement with yourselves being 1 place above Wakefield in the league.

| Giver over, I'm not one to deny we've been pi*s poor this season because we have but we have generally been well above Wakey in the table and I think it's time to stop raiding their players otherwise this type of season will become a regular occurance

don't see a problem signing a player from a club below us in league. All clubs either develop youngsters who could be future stars (eg westerman) or pay big money for a superstar who wouldnt look out of place in top teams ( eg jake webster). As long as its the better players we're targeting what does it matter wether they come from saints or castleford(just as an example).

| Steve Menzies - Manly
Jamie Rooney - Wakefield
Luke Burgess - Leeds
Mark Calderwood - Wigan
and a quality centre, not sure who though. Is Ashley Gibson at Leeds out of contract i reckon he would be a good signing. Willie Talau for 1 year maybe.
I also think we should get Calderwood he as been unlucky at Wigan and i know he is not very good but has pace to burn and will score tries.

| I think Calderwood is a pretty good shout, gets bundled into touch easy enough but he's got pace and we are in desperate need of that although I thought it was virtually a done deal for him to go to Hull?

He was offered a contract by Leeds but asked for silly money (presumably because his opinion of himself doesn't correlate with his lack of talent other than pace).
So I'm presuming that Wigan gave him a tasty amount of money. Unless he was being touted around at a reduced wage I wouldn't touch him.
