No announcement from RFL till Monday. The wait goes on.

Well, the RFL have agreed the deal and the new owners are to talk to the remaining players. That'll be why there's no big announcement yet, because while we have a club, we don't have a team to actually announce yet.

Precisely. People have very rightly railed against how shabbily the players and staff have been treated and kept in the dark, and yet now there's a deal, they want to know before anyone else.

As a fan, I expect any new owner to be busting their balls over the next few days trying to salvage whatever they can from the wreckage. I'm cool with being told about it once they know what's left and have something to announce.

Surely it's perfectly possible to announce the person X has become the new owner and that they intend to speak to the remaining players / coaching staff over the weekend ahead of a press conference on Monday.

Why is it deemed necessary to keep the identity of the owner secret? (Not that it appears to be all that much of a secret anyway...)

Why not just announce it, so that EVERYONE knows - players, staff, supporters etc? Surely the players are intelligent enough to know that they aren't necessarily guaranteed a job, but at least it keeps everyone in the picture as to where the process has reached.

Accoding to companies house,bradford 2017 has been registered by Andrew chalmers.

It's bloody frustrating really. This latest stunt from the RFL reminds me of being a kid in school who has just had his first kiss. Everyone knows you did it, and who with, but you won't tell anyone out of some form of mild insecurity that people will laugh at you for it. Bonkers.

I think Irvine and Lamb are making it clear on twitter they're out, so at least that's confirmation that it's moving. BBC state ownership is decided so just hope the delay is to announce the new club's made a shedload of signings over the weekend and that Marwan's sending us Welham back on a season long loan...*gibber*

Maybe they asked Chalmers to register a company to throw us off and the Sultan of Brunei will be announced as the winning bidder Monday after buying the services of the Burgess boys and Jonathon Thurston.....

Well the much criticised Marwan Koukash saved Salford and now has saved Bradford.

The Man has been absolutely fantastic for Rugby League.
