It may not be the politically correct thing these days, but if I'm totally honest, I have zero interest in the Women's Super League, so it certainly wouldn't encourage me to trek over to Blackpool for it. Adding that to the Bash screams of desperation to me, as they'll be struggling to shift tickets with some of the higher supported clubs no longer involved.

Rugby Football League Interim Chief Executive, Ralph Rimmer, said: “The Summer Bash is a brilliant event which celebrates the Betfred Championship and is great fun for all supporters. However we haven't shifted many tickets so hopefully we can piggyback/emotionally blackmail Bradford supporters into coming by shoehorning a Womans game first onto the bill."

Seeing Hull KR go up and their self inflicted loss of Bradford must surely rendered the bash a lame duck. But given they knew they'd be relegating us with the absurd 12 point deduction they've had a year to come up with a plan on how to get more than 5k in the stadium.
