| Coaches always want two more players......I,m struggling to keep up with who we've got there's been that many comings and goings.
We shouldn't be buying any players until we give the under 19's an extended run in those positions. Joe Lumb and Ethan Ryan are not out of their depth from what Iv seen. We must have others???

Agreed. Dread to think the amount of cap we've used on players Lowes has no intention of using whatsoever.
Being in championship is perfect opportunity to blood a few youngsters and save cap money to get genuine quality in. Could have tried a promising scrum half we had last year...

No reason at all then? There are no reasons mentioned in the T&A today.'"
I suspect the RFL don't want Marc Green making a killing in the pocket from the sale of Odsal to developers.
Peter Hood's decision to sell Odsal has ensured the grounds longevity. Bravo Peter.

Just one small correction required, the hole is actually owned by the council, the RFL and formerly the Bulls just lease it. Only the council could sell Odsal to Marc, and given the even larger financial hole the council has resulting from Gideon's long term economic plan they would want serious coin for it.

So who owns what? I thought at the end of last year The Bulls bought the freehold from the council. It's just the head lease that the RFL own that we don't have yet.
The Bulls are the owners, the RFL leases from the Bulls then the Bulls sublease it from the RFL. Or is that piece saying the purchase from the council didn't go through as well as the purchase from the RFL?

We certainly do not own the freehold. Marc has stated that he eventually wants to own the freehold, but right now he's still in the process of acquiring the leasehold, which the rfl own and are apparently refusing to sell. The freehold is currently held by bradford council.

| I've been of the opinion for a while our future can't be Odsal.
What the implications of that statement are I'm not so sure - but to be a Warrington type ground 12-18,000 capacity in a joint venture with some one would enable us to move forward.

| Found it. The agreement with the council has been made (February). So I don't know what the hold up is now.
"The Odsal chairman said: "We’ve had a little bit of a stall and it’s with the legal teams – the issue is over car parking obligations outside the stadium.
"However, the agreement with the council has been done and the terms have been agreed.
"It’s just legal solicitors arguing between the two and doing what they do best, which is running up their costs."
But that article doesn't mention the Council agreement at all, it is just going on about the RFL lease. Why only tell part of the story?

| Quite disappointed considering the date that it's now after 09:30 and we haven't had someone say we've signed a superstar halfback, or Jimmy Lowes has been sacked. I fully expected something along those lines by now!
I thought about doing an April Fool that we've signed another prop, but we probably have....

The article you are quoting in fact doesn't seem to mention the RFL lease. Your quote seems to clearly refer to a negotiation for Green to buy the freehold from the Council.
It wouldn't need to mention the lease arrangements at all. If Green owned the freehold then the RFL would be his tenants and the Bulls would be the RFL's subtenants. The RFL would continue to get their rent from the Bulls, but the RFL's payments of rent would now be going to Green (by which I mean to whatever company was used to make the acquisition).
