FOR all those querying which of our 2015 squad members appear on the overseas quota, are non-federation trained, club trained or 'kolpak', we have moved to clarify things for you

Our Overseas Quota players include:
Jake Mullaney (Non-Federation Trained)
Adrian Purtell (Non-Federation Trained)
Karl Davies (Non-Federation Trained)
Mark Offerdahl (Non-Federation Trained)
Adam Henry (NOT Non-Federation Trained)

Our Non-Federation Trained players include:
Harry Siejka (Not on Overseas Quota)
Etu Uaisele (Not on Overseas Quota)
Chris Ulugia (Not on Overseas Quota)

In total, we have five players (maximum) on our Overseas Quota and seven players (maximum) on our Non-Federation Trained list.

Hopefully, that clears up any concerns you may or may not have.

Anyway, now we can concentrate on the RAB sponsorship thread to see what we can do. Clearly club strategy is to get an influx of talent to match the facility, and I think its good for the recruits to see that if they go all the way that the fans could sponsor them.

How does Adam Henry qualify to be NOT non-federation trained? He's over 21 and has not played here for 3 seasons. Or have these qualifiers been changed without it being publicised?

[i"Federation Trained Player’: a player who, for any 3 full Seasons efore the end of the Season in which he ceases to be eligible by age to play at Under 21 level has been on one of the Club’s register or the register of another Club being a member of the same rugby league Federation. "[/i

Although the rfl do write a bit of wriggle room in (and BTW how badly is this written? Thats one sentence that is;)

[iThe Board shall have the discretion to declare that a Player qualifies as a ‘Club Trained Player’ or a ‘Federation Trained Player’ notwithstanding that the player does not satisfy strictly the definition where in the Board’s absolute discretion the Board is satisfied that the player satisfies the spirit of the definition or considers that in view of the circumstances relevant to that case it is appropriate to declare that a Player qualifies as a ‘Club Trained Player’ or a ‘Federation Trained Player’ and in particular shall take into account in relation to ‘Federation Trained Player’ any time registered with a Member Club of a member organisation of the relevant Federation, and in relation to ‘Club Trained Player’ time registered on loan with a Member Club of the relevant Federation or a Member Club of a member organisation of the relevant Federation. The burden of establishing such circumstances is strictly on the individual player. [/i
