| Jeez, you don't off load a young lad with potential.Get rid of the journeymen first.Losing Elliot, for whatever reason, was bad enough.Bad move if true imo.

| Ridiculous if we don't offer him a new deal. Young, has potential, shown character to come back from 2 bad injuries.
Lets give Olby and Walker new deals, they're gash in defence and average in attack.
Donno might need to work on his attacking game, but he's shown promise and in a team that can't tackle he's done well.
For any of he stattos, Donno has about 5% missed tackles. Chev 15, Olby 11.
I know Donno hasn't played as much but most of his stats compare favourably with these 2.
I will be very disappointed if he leaves.

| If we let Donno go then I would really question the sanity of the new ownership.

Think it's harsh blaming the ownership. They are doing what owners should do and let Franny get on with it.
I'm more than happy to give Franny time, in fact I won't be making judgments on him until half way through next year. BUT if Franny doesn't offer Donaldson a new deal, but has given one to Diskin, Walker and
Olbison (all of whom haven't set the world alight this year) then I think Franny will be under pressure.
I will be a very disgruntled fan if we don't give him a new deal. I'm certain it will bite us on the backside if he leaves.

| Don't think Donno offers massive amount with ball in hand but last couple of month when he has played, his defence has been all the more obvious in a quite weak defensive team effort.
So when you take into account other players with a lot of defensive weaknesses have been offered new deals,he is a must for a new contract

| I agree. Letting Donno go is a major error. Not only he is an excellent defender he is one of the few who actually gets off the line and pressures the opposition rather than waiting for them to arrive.
Ran a great line for his try against Widnes and is steadily getting his confidence back with the ball in hand. Don't see the sense in this at all.

| All the playing arguements point to Donno being a strong keep. Better than average player, good work ethic, handled two bad injuries well and came back strongly, and still room to develope further. Would seem a no brainer?
Don't like the mutterings about "other face fit" reasons, and splits amoungst the players - hopefully no truth in these suggestions as a divided "them" "us" camp is always going to struggle.

| As it seems with the Bosc rumour responce that people from the club and/or T@a read these pages, Ill add to the general opinion on here that we really should be keeping Donaldson if he wants to stay.
We dont know what really goes on in training and behind the scenes, but from where I am, I wont understand the logic of offering Walker a new deal but not Donaldson. There is no point keeping average older players like walker on the premise that they will "mentor yonger players" if you then let one of your top young prospects go. Fair enough if you offer a deal and someone else betters it, but to not offer one would be a mistake.

| Jobs for the boys springs to mind! We should be keeping both Donno and Addy.

Good point. OTOH you have an ageing Walker, who was very good and back to something approaching his best not that long ago, but whose form has gone sharply downhill, as has his defence. He could be having a slump, and could be good again, but could be on the slippery slope too. That seems to me like a reasonable summary of the risk with him. OTOH you have Donaldson, who is young, with all his best years ahead of him, and who despite everything seems to everyone to be making steady progress back in the right direction. The risk with him is that maybe due to his injuries he won't realise the rich potential he once showed.
FWIW I don't think Walker is a busted flush and would make him an offer, but if it came down to a choice (it doesn't) then I know which risk I'd prefer to take, by a long chalk.
